Sorry Sir! ur Chemistry is incorrect due to the fact that iodate ion
(2IO3), on the product side of ur half reaction in terms of the overall net
charge which is (-2) which is your incorrect answer! it suppose to be (-1)
not (-2)!!! Sorry!!! lol!!!
+Lucky Khumalo One iodate ion has a charge of (-1). In the balanced half reaction there are two iodate ions. Therefore it contributes 2 x (-1) or -2 charge.
Cu --> Cu2+ is more positive on the right side, so the electrons go on the right. For NO3- --> NO2, you must first balance for O and H; after you do that, it will be more positive on the left and the electron will go on the left.
I Love Your Teaching Methods! I've learned more from your teachings than I
did in all of my science classes in high school! I wish I had teachers like
you back in school, because I didn't learn anything back in school!
AWESOME! Keep up the good work! 5/5!
Excellent Video! Best I have seen yet! I was stumped till I watched your
vid, now I understand how to balance nuclear equations :-) Thanks SOO much!
Keep the vids coming!!!
This was a great help! I had to miss alot of classes this term in science
and was absolutely clueless on this. your explanation was very clear and
very helpful, thank you!
