we write at two five five 1.5 rate (382.5 bpm 16ths)
Where did this person come from, oh my god. I'm in utter shock because it
looks like Matt finally has someone to possibly rival... Calvin - you need
a channel full of videos; I did read in the Die in Your Arms Tonight video
that you're a modest person, but there are a LOT of people who want to see
you destroying songs involving this kind of footspeed.
@MilkChan Sure, bpm differences make differences in stamina. Streaming 200
for three minutes would be as hard as playing scatman splittercore, thus
making the latter more impressive. But what strikes me for 240 bpm over 250
BPM is that not many people can sustain fa for very long periods at that
speed.
@allright715 240 and 255 makes a BIG fucking difference in stamina. Its not
so much noticeable if you were doing 140 stream and going to 155 but
basically its like saying "ok you 90'd one more lovely but 90 mechanical
love and ill be impressed"
@Cazum0 The thing with the songs I mentioned is that they have much longer
streams than the 250+ bpm songs you're playing. So it's more stamina than
footspeed to at least 90 them.
@allright715 But the funny part about your comment....is that didnt you
notice this is 255(bpm)??? Oprah Shmup and stabwound is only 240(bpm) but
ok. :)
@cxgamer Rolls are like holds, but you have to keep stepping on both
arrows. Example: Left + Down, Left is a 4th note and Down is a 16th note
later. After stepping on Left and Down keep stepping on them like you're
doing a 16th drill on Left and Down. They're good for when the song echos
at one point/guitar wails/certain guitar patterns/anything that warrants a
repeating pattern. Also I know how you feel, I've triple starred over 20
songs on KB and still can't beat the pros scores on pad haha.
Judging by the 17s+ I've seen, I'd say that this is definitely a 17.
(Unless the rating in the description is wrong and the one on the machine
is right?) 0:38 - 1:42, there's over a full minute of downtime with no
16ths. (are you planning on cutting the song down at all?) Not to mention,
you've dealt with runs slightly faster than this before (The Ordeal Becomes
great, but the runs aren't as long), so I would think it would be about on
par with that. Other than all that, awesome as always. =)
@cxgamer I can be your wiki lol. :P Jacks are basically when you hit the
same arrow over and over e.g. Level Skip Expert. Jumpstream is basically
when jumps are part of a 16th run e.g. Vertex Alpha's intro soon after its
speedup. Jumpjacks is jumps followed by jacks. Trills I dunno (unless you
meant drills, which are 16ths/24ths/32nds repeating on two arrows).
Crossovers are patterns like Left Down Right, Right Down Left, basically
any pattern that makes you face 90 to the left/right.
@DancingNinja2010 I don't need to be the best. After I saw thaor AAA St.
Scarhand, which I can barely pass, I gave up all hope of ever becoming the
best. xD But yeah, you're right. I have a couple of years experience with
stepmania, on and off, yet when we're getting technical, I barely know how
to intall Cmods >.< Also, what's with the difficulty of certain song packs?
It's like they're all -10 or something. A 5 seems like a 15 sometimes. Why
is that? :p
@WinDEU The longest run in ordeal is 85 arrows, and it only has 1 other run
over 50 arrows. This starts with a 129 arrow run, 7 seconds later it has
another 97 arrow run, and then at the end it has a 97 arrow run with a 113
arrow run less than a second later. This song is a LOT harder than ordeal.
Runs of this length at this speed are not found anywhere else(except
another tachyon gamma chart, rocket rider).
@cxgamer Triple star is when you get anything from 99% to 99.99% on a song.
Usually requires a low excellent count, though you can still get it if you
don't get any greats (also known as a FEC, full excellent combo where you
get all fantastics and excellents). Also if I remember right, that's a joke
file, it's got nothing to do with rolls. Someone else can tell you cos I've
not played it lol.
@cxgamer Depends on the pack. Keyboard files have quite different pad
ratings. Like how Vertex Beta is rated a 13 when in fact it's a 16 on pad.
DDR X & X2 files are rated from 1 - 20, which is an extension of the 1 - 10
system. Otherwise it should follow the ITG style of rating files (which
should always be rated by how hard it is to pass, not to score on :P).
@cxgamer BS = bullshit it. Airs = jumps. Forgive my DDR terminology. =P Not
necessarily, my litlle brother plays a weird ass style using: His left
index for LEFT His right index for DOWN His right middle finger for UP
and... His right ring finger for RIGHT (plays index with 4 fingers) And to
answer your question, that is still spread.
@DancingNinja2010 Thanks a ton! :D I'm a keyboard player though :$ Now I
just need to learn to play those xD Matt is better with his feet than I
with my fingers xD I'm find RURU drills much harder than LRLR, because
those are the same hand with me. Oh and rolls, those are LDUR, or mirrored,
right? :D
@FutileExistence What are BS and airs? I thought spread was with 4 fingers.
I used to play with dfjk, but then my left wrist got strained too much as
it got bent, so now I play with the key left of the Z, the Z, 2 and 3 on
the numeric keyboard. I don't know how you call that :$
@nospecial69er it's definitely 32nds, if it were 24ths it would be a lot
easier to pick out the individual tones (and it also wouldn't be tachyon
gamma material hehu). step away, I've charted everything in super meat boy
for keyboard though, check out my channel
@FutileExistence I forgive you :p you're going through all the trouble
explaining it :p If they're just 16ths, then I can do them, but with
anything faster I just BS them as airs, yes. :p So what's the difference
with 4 fingers and spread then? :$
@Patashu For the gamma chart I doubled the BPM because I think 32nds are
obnoxious to read in massive streams, and I cut the 2 longest runs in half
because a 16 measure run at 256 is not really appropriate for pad at this
point in time.
@ArvinGhassemi It looks great imo. But where do you guys keep getting those
pro terms? Jacks, jumpstream, jumpjacks, thrills, crossovers, .. The only
term I know is 'stream'>.< Is there a compendium or a wiki I don't know
about?
@TheRevolutionomega My previous vids of both screen and full body were two
separate recordings. The last two videos have been one fully body recording
with the screen blown up so you can see it better.
@DancingNinja2010 Oooh that's what they're called :o What's tripple star?
xD Also can you explain the name of the song "How fast can you roll nigga
wut"? Yet there are no rolls in there.
@DancingNinja2010 Whoa I rarely get anything above 95% xD After I AA a
song, I usually don't play it anymore. But thanks for explaining all of
this. Maybe one day I'll be a pro. ^^
@cxgamer You just gotta learn 'em, pretty much. Fortunately, there aren't
all that many terms, it won't take all that long to be able to shine in the
eyes of ignoramuses.
@Patashu Does it sound right? Cause i thought it would have been 24ths. Yea
im going to step it as well and i think another smb song but not sure which
one :P
i'm nowhere near your level in ITG, but I can only predict improvement if
you were to start doing squats/deadlifts. fast twitch muscle fibers for the
win.
