The health care industry, as it currently exists, has become bloated over several decades. They've used their egregious profits to expand and hire and embed themselves deeper into the national, and indeed, the global economy. They've become too big to fail, in a sense. We can't solve the real problem without damaging our economy first, it's a sensitive situation.

I love how Republicans criticize Obama for reckless spending even when 1. Government spending growth has not grown. 2. They seem to forget they supported Medicare Part D and the Iraq War 3. Give so much tax cuts even when the multiplier of those tax cuts are so low Republicans are only conservative when they are not in the White House. The moment a Republican gets into the presidency, they support anything that relates to SPEND SPEND SPEND.
