NEWS9: 'WHITE LIES' , A NEWS9 discussion
Doctors wear the white coats with pride. It's a badge of honour for doctors. But now, a study claims that the long sleeved coats actually worsen the situation for ...
This is a ridiculous research conclusion. I am not denying the fact that
the long sleeves are the main vectors of the spread of diseases in the
Hospital environs. The real reason is the neglegent behavior of the men and
women wearing the long sleaves, not necessarily the white coats,
indiscriminately and not bothering about the infections they are spreading
from patient to patient and from one area to another making the entire
Hospital environment infected. Irrespective of the colour of their garb,
they would do well to take some basic precautions like using disinfectant
hand scrubs, surgeons/ examination gloves etc., not to speak of reasonably
tightfitting shortsleaved attire and remembering to remove the coats, masks
and gowns before using toilets or while taking food.

Some Need capes...like Batman and Some look good in capes like Superman.
Other characters in capes like Thor and Shazam...Really don't look good to
me. Wonder Woman cape tells story's of her impressive battles/victories and
her origin of where she came from etc. and she looks good in a cape but
Thor and Shazam I just don't like.etc
I thought the point to all this spandex was to just draw the characters
practically naked with colors, as if they were models for body-paint.
Tight's aren't so form-fitting in the real world, but the artists just
pretended they are so they could show off the physicality of the super
heroes. Sexual appeal sells, especially when it's subtle enough for no one
to notice.
A real life comparison to what Superheroes wear would be athletic gear like Skins. Definitely form fitting and I'm just just speculating but they could be inspired by the same source.
I prefer tights! :)
Normal outfits are too boring.
Also you left out the #1 reason as to why superheroes would wear tights so
traditionally for almost a century... It's just plain old easier to draw :)
+Cagnazzo I agree, its easier, that way you just need to draw their anatomy and pose without worrying about how more complex clothing would behave during the action, just add some shapes and basic elements (boots, maybe a bow, etc) and you are done with the panel (lets remember the strict time constraints comicbook authors ussually work under, it is a way of making these characters easier to draw while still having them be iconic and highly recognizable)
The X-men's costumes in the movies have been so incredibly boring to look
at. I wish they'd at least attempt their original costumes in some way.
Tired of the over super realistic stuff. Deadpool feels like the first
merging between actual costume and film. Hopefully others will follow,
assuming the deadpool movie is actually good.
Yeah I suppose those count as actual comic book costumes. For the amount of time they were on screen, I think they were just okay. I'm just picky though. I was disappointed we never got to see Hugh Jackman, the perfect Wolverine, in any of his costumes. How about John Romita's classic Spiderman look instead of basketball suit? In movies up until now they spent so much time establishing the characters that you don't get to see them how they are.
I prefer a hybrid between spandex and modern costumes. I guess, for me,
anyway, it depends on what their powers consist of. Speedsters, like Flash
and QuickSilver. People that fly and swim, those make sense for spandex.
Personally though, characters like Captain America, for example, who get up
close and personal with their opponents because they have to, do better
with modern outfits. Light armor that provides them with protection, but
still gives them full mobility so they can do all the ass kicking they need
to.
The only comic book characters that I feel has reason to break this trend is the Web-Head himself, Spiderman, and characters like him. Mostly due to the fact that these characters are fast enough, reaction-wise, that they don't have to worry about being attacked by their enemies most of the time, but still have to be upclose and personal to kick ass and take names
I don't know if you guys have done this but can u do a video Just dedicated
to your purses I'm just getting into bags and I would like to see you guys
style.
The Dove spray deodorant is amazing! At any point throughout the day if I
lift my arms to reach something I can smell it and they all smell great. I
also love the Shea Moisture body oils as well, I put them on my body after
the shower while my body is still wet then put lotion on. I feel like it
makes any lotion much more effective on the skin and keeps the skin softer
longer! Organix also has some after shower oils that are great.
Oh, and I have tried the Degree spray deodorant and had the same problem! And I was worried because it seemed bad to be inhaling that stuff, it's too strong!
Kendra!!!...I wish I left a comment when you picked up that degree
deodorant girrrrl I was coughing so bad tooo!....but I had to use it all up
so I would hold my breath and spray and then run out the bathroom
+Trina Glaud lol, I would do the same thing! I would also try to put my shirt on first then reach under the shirt to spray the deodorant thinking the shirt would block the spray, but it was still bad! Yes, Dove is much better.
