I've been to about 10 car boots and these 2 coins are the first silver ones
i've seen....So its very slim pickings :( Though saying that....You might
be able to pick non silver bargains at the car boot and flip them for a
profit in order to buy yourself some silver from somewhere else ;) So i'd
say its definitely worth checking out your local car boots Mr.Stackhard
Sterling :) You never know what you'll find.
The trade dollar is in great condition.. Always wanted one :-) Check out
completed ebay auctions to get an idea of value but i think you did well
with it Nice history lesson.. didn't know about the banning of silver in
china The standing liberty's usually go for around £3.75 for the poor one
so you did well on that one which looks better than most
Thanks Michael, there's not much wear on it at all and it even weighs the
full amount it is supposed to, so i'm really pleased with finding it :) The
quarter is pretty neat as well as they usually have much more wear on them.
Thanks for watching.
Thanks Frugal, Yeah i had a look on ebay and they seem to range from around
£40 up to around £70 so it's looking like a really good buy :) I'm really
pleased with it.
That's great! It's really good to hear i might have been of some use :)
Thank you for your kind comments, that's cheered me up today! :) Thanks for
watching.

finds can be had there as i should probably check a few out! lets say...out
of 10?

Treasure Hunting With A Car Boot Sale Metal Detector

Some good finds first time out Mick, the kiddies enjoyed that, they're good
little diggers too :)
Almost paid for itself first time out.
ATB......Les.
I bought a cheaper metal detector not so many years ago for my dad who
passed in 2011. It was never used, but now I must take it from the closet
and give it a whirl.
What a great time! I used to do a fair bit of metal detecting too. It's a
lot of fun, but even more fun to share the fun and adventure with the kids.
Just a little extra info. That small, wedge-shaped piece with the ridges in
it looks suspiciously like the wedge that you would drive into the end of a
hammer or axe-handle to hold it onto the head. Really enjoyed this video.
