The reason people do not think this is because of the massive amounts of people who have immigrated to TB from places like Detroit. Said people from Detroit always have a dusty Wings jersey in the closet for when they go down there, but also in front of that a shiny new Lightning jersey that they wear to most if not all games. Because of this, they also have fans in enormous numbers. There is a reason TB is nicknamed Hockey Bay U.S.A.

Because boarding has bad health risks to the player being boarded, and because of recent concussion issues in the league, rules are being enforced stricter then they used to.

If you think Rinaldo didn't hit Crombeen when he went down your completely wrong, he threw three wild haymakers when he was on his knees, but really its a fight, the same people who cry about guys hitting guys who are already down are the same ones saying there shouldn't be staged fights. So you want fights to be spontaneous and out of pure anger like they used to be but then be civil enough to not swing when a guys down?

both were cheapshots,both broke the code,Lecavalier started that fight with talbot to send a message( as any good captain wouild do) that hitting a guy who is down and hurt is not acceptable and he responded in kind. ALL of the nhl experts at the dicussion at the end of the first period of the bruin/canadians game on tv agreed it was the flyer who broke the code.

its the intent, crombeen was still on his knees holding onto rinaldo when he threw those next 2 punches to make sure he won, neither punches were thrown when crombeen hit the ice, they were both before however with vinny he threw 2 punches after talbot was already on his back including 1 when the officials were already in the middle and attempted a 3rd one

Lecavalier is the best even when he gets his nose bloodied by a 4th line sub-par fighter. At least you have set your expectations of your captain low and it probably makes seeing your tough guy get his ass kicked by a 5'10" 169 pound fighter much more tolerable. Hockey in Florida doesn't make sense anyway so enjoy your team.

The saddest part of this entire situation is discovering you dancing to Katy Perry. You can argue Rinaldo .But there is no doubt that Vinny threw when Talbot was flat on his back.He knocked out his team by sitting for 5 minutes down by 1 with 7 minutes left .What captain does that .Also these guys went after the smallest guys on the Flyers.Ask Rinaldo to fight you .He will and you just may be HUMILIATED.

rinaldo hit crombeen when he was still on one knee and was about to get up and fight back ... vinny sucker punched talbot to start the fight and then threw 2 punches when talbot was on his back with that said all is forgiven since vinny is with the flyers now, but what vinny did was worse than rinaldo that night

rinaldo kept throwing while he was doing. st louis even said something about this after to danny brier. probably why he threw the extra shots while he was down since it happened to their guy. that being said who gives a fuck love seeing spirited fights and two teams showing hate for eachother.

Talbot landed more and better hits, that punch at the end was disgusting. Rinaldo a fight was absolutely clean and he punched him as he was on his way down. This fight was over and Vinny threw that bullshit. I no longer have respect for him if that's the type of shit you displays as a captain

You can feel when a guy goes limp, or is going down. Rinaldo's shit was dirty. So was lecavaliers. Both fights were dirty. Each extra shot was cheap. This kinda shit has no place in hockey. Guys should hold up the extra shot, pat the guy on the back and say good fight. RESPECT.

First off Rinaldo didn't hit Crombeen when he was down he hit him to make sure that he went down here Lecavalier hit Talbot when he was completely down not on his knees like Crombeen so Rinaldo's fight was clean Lecavalier wasn't but I am happy to have vinny in Philly!

It was actually kinda obvious he stumbled, and Rinaldo didn't take a swing after both of them were on the ground, he hit him on the way down. If you wanna talk about a takedown, Rinaldo definately took down Crombeen, and just about knocked him out.

Lacalvalier was probably trying to set a tone but was thinking fuck I'm not taking Rinaldo who just knocked crombeen the fuck out and I'm definitely not fighting schenn again so he went after someone half the size of him...
