myoglobin is the oxidizer which is used within muscle tissue, as hemoglobin is to blood. myoglobin is toxic to the kidneys which is why hard impact, besides injury, can result in kidney failure. its what allows animals to hold their breath beyond their blood supply becoming depleted and the primary source of oxygen during adrenaline rushes. cardio exercise increases concentrations of myoglobin.

so myoglobin has nothing to do with fat. it varies muscle to muscle based up individual muscle's oxygen demand.
