//wilfleming.com/?p=644 The old way that I snatched was dead wrong. I am on my way now, but still plenty of work to do. This is a difference in 6 months of ...
Good job! Noticeable difference...I don't know if that's how you were
taught to snatch in the first place, but my first coach definitely taught
me to lean too much over the bar like you did, which meant I lifted the
weight more with my back and did not use my legs. After I realized it I
switched to a more upright position and greatly improved my lifting.
Man, your snatch looks waaaay better! I read your tnation article on the
snatch and didn't really like it but it seems your views have changed a lot
from that moment, didn't they?. Anyway, congrats on thechnique. btw, did
you read coach maccaouleys book? Power trip, i think its the name.
So it is shoulders over bar instead of in front of bar?
Frankie Martinez: Comparison Video From His 10 Year Old Performance Routine
Frankie Martinez revisits one of his famous routines @ the Fusion Salsa Festival. It is hard to believe the routine was performed 10 years ago! Check out a ...
This is awesome. I've gone back to compare various versions of this routine
but never viewed them side by side. The one consistent factor is that he is
always in the moment. He knows the routine but it never looks exactly the
same. Artistically, he dances much different now. The biggest difference is
he is much faster, has better control, and is more in his Latin Funk style.
Because he is so fast, he has more time to slow down and milk some of the
movements making everything more dynamic and he is able to show more
musicality. When he actually tries to move his body, everything is much
bigger and more powerful. When he doesn't, it gets too relaxed in my
opinion. I wish he had a bit more of his older Latin style and a little
less of his Funky style (just a tad less) so that it looks closer to
traditional salsa but with all his current polish and knowledge of dance.
He's probably still my favorite though.
+Richard Ortiz I agree with you until you got to the point about latin style and funky style. I think most dancers don't realize that traditional salsa and funk is basically the same thing. They are one and the same, and Frankie has (for most of his dancing career) came to the realization of that. In the end, there is really no such thing as styles. All styles tend to do is cause separation.

Your pronunciations of the Gaelic are wrong. Also your pronunciation of
Gaelic, which is pronounced "GAH-LIK" written in Gaelic as Gàidhlig. Thu is
pronounced "oo" as th is silent. Aon is like "eun" (kinda like the french
"un"). Trì is "tree". pana is "pan-eh". athair is "ah-her". bean = ben.
mhìos = "vee-us".
This doesn't really work like your comparison videos between Germanic
languages. The two beans are not in fact related words; they just happen to
be spelt the same. Likewise OE panne means 'pan' and is not related to the
Gaelic word for bread.
