I need that overclocking tool on the Intel website. i can't install it somehow, and then I heard, it is because i need an bios update. I've done this on my older motherboard too, but just to be sure, if the method is the same. And I guess it almost is.... I think. But I'm following this guide you made, because I have windows 7 too but just the home premium one. I'm going to try now. Hope I'll be back :S. But it should work :).

At timing of 1:55 of this video, look at the lower left hand corner of the screen. When it appears, immediately press the DEL (or DELETE) key on your keyboard several times and then wait. The BIOS set up screen will then appear. This method is applicable to the ASUS X58 motherboard. It might be different for other motherboards. Hope that helps.

lol! When I started my computer and went into the BIOS I went to see the current version of my BIOS. Since I just bought this motherboard a couple of days before, I saw that my BIOS-version is 1304 :D. I don't need the update anyway. But do you know, why i can't download the Intel Control Center? Or is it only made for Intel Core i7 Extreme?

I'm going to try this out. But when I'm about to hit ctrl-alt-delete, then do I need to hit delete at right after? And is it just as the pc starts up, that I need to this right at the start? or when it comes across to the place, where you have to press f12.

Ummm.. when you see the ASUS opening screen, you press the DEL key. In fact, at the lower left hand corner, you should be able to see the instruction for pressing the DEL key. Hope that helps :) Any reason why you are flashing your BIOS? Curious, eh? ;p

Actually easer to put the the new BIOS file in the root of your main drive and use Asus EZ flash utility. No USB sticks/CD/whatever needed,

Hi Paul and JJ, why the memory Dram is at 1333Mhz? Is that the real frequency of the ram or it shows up as is? (I mean usually we use 1600 minimum, so this one is smaller) And also the XMP is a kind of quick memory overclocker? Thanks

Well that's good for you, but for the average person that doesn't have to use those funtions on a regular basis and espacially newcomers I think this will be a lot easier to get into than the old BIOS.
