As for the fans. 1 should come on when the engine reaches operating
temperature (controlled by the coolant temperature sensor). The other fan
should come on when you press the A/C button as it's used to cool down the
A/C compressor. I noticed that you didn't have the A/C on so of course that
fan isn't going to turn on. Let's assume that both fans are not turning on.
That could be due to a cooling fan RELAY and/or FUSE in the fuse box (there
should be 2 of them), A/C relay
Thank you DJDevon3 for quick reply :) I have also posted this video on
Mazda626.net forum and people have advised that most possibly its my
distributor issue, So I will order new one and give a try, About the
coolant leak its just rubber is falling out from radiator cap. I am also
thinking to change fuel filter but will see if distributor can fix some
issues then I will do other things later. Your videos are AMAZING and very
very helpful. Thanks again :)
1st of all your steering wheel is on the wrong side. you obviously got one
that the factory workers messed around with. 2ndy, it looks like the
radiator fluid is leaking out of the overflow. Check the O rings and
sealing on your radiator cap. & I think there is a hole in the hose you may
want to seal up with heat resistant silica tape.
The coolant leak you can get fixed at any automotive shop. Looks like it's
leaking from the top of the radiator overflow and/or the coolant hose too
possibly. Leaking coolant WILL DEFINITELY eventually lead to an overheating
engine provided you don't top off the system with coolant regularly.
For the acceleration issue that looks like an air leak. Check your intake
system for cracks from the airbox all the way to the intake manifold. Don't
count out an intake manifold gasket or throttle body gasket leak either.
You'll want to get a leak test done either smoke test or propane test.
you have a bad head gasket i have a 2002 mazda milenia and it haz the same
engine and same problem turned out to be a bad head gasket and for he
electrical your goin to look for the wireing diagram and check the fan
circuit and and look where it crosses the blower circuit
That did not solve the problem. You simply lowered the idle speed
artificially using the air adjust screw (not recommended). You'll probably
notice that you get poor MPG now. The issue has to do with an idle control
parameter likely the IAC or a vacuum leak. You put on a band aid on it. It
will get worse in the future until you can't use the air adjust screw
anymore and are forced to deal with the real issue.
I have the same car, I had the same idle issue. It took months to figure
out what is was and after taking the whole intake apart and changing high
tension leads, spark plugs, Valve cover gasket, spark plug boots and
checking for error codes from the ECU, it was simply a crack in the black
plastic housing. Fixed it with some epoxy and 15 mins later, problem solved
:D
