How to tell time in Spanish
Spanish for Beginners - Do you know how to ask the time in Spanish? What about understanding when someone tells you when that all-important bus or flight is ...
+Butterfly Spanish so should I add that at the end of what you taught in the video !? Thanks for the reply. It is impressive that you're still replying to your old videos. I just started learning Spanish. Hope I would reply in Spanish soon.
Thank You so much, Ana, for this lesson about time - You make it very easy
and have the best pronunciation. It is very useful and interesting. I´m
eager to know more about Your beautiful language.
THANK YOU for making clear that the correct way to ask the time is "qué
hora es?", and that the correct answer is "es la una". I am so tired of
hearing "qué horas son? and "son la una".
However, I have a problem with "Son las dos diez". Who speaks like that? a
computer? How about, son las dos y diez...?
Otherwise, great class.
Hahaha... Being trilingual myself, I often think in Spanish when speaking French. Fortunately, both languages share a common root and with some exceptions, they can be superimposed. However, when attempting that with French/English, or Spanish/English, the results can range from comical to downright disastrous. Having said this, I don't want to discourage anyone from learning. The videos are indeed very helpful.
I completely agree; they are different languages and it would be incorrect to argue grammar based on another language. I've also noticed that some things are similar across languages while other things are very different which is why it's less surprising that "Son las dos diez" is one of multiple ways to communicate time.
Holla Butterfly! Bueno, tengo que decirte que eres muy buena en la
enseñanza de esta hermosa lengua. Aparte, tú explicas de manera fácil y
sencilla para que todos te comprendan, por eso, te agradezco muchísimo por
lo que haces.
Steve - so very true. We're entrepreneurs because we see things differently
and see opportunity. The real skill is focusing on one idea and give all of
your energy to it. Easier said than done.

Good tutorial, a bit time consuming but great results. I just noticed that
my camera has a star trails setting (interval composite). The camera that
keeps on giving (Ricoh GR). I'll try it out if I can find anywhere dark
enough.
+canturgan Yes I never do it that way. I made a few tests and it's hard to focus just by turning the focus ring all the way. I prefer to try and focus at the stars themselves using the autofocus and then switch to manual
+Kris Drake old manual lenses used to lock off at infinity but newer autofocus lenses have an infinity mark which is just short of the full travel stop. If you focus by turning the lens until it stops it might be soft because they can focus beyond infinity (really). It has something to do with temperature apparently.
+jesus sanchez Bueno lo voy a hacer en español también ;)
