Round the Old Port ( Portland Maine ) Filmed on Canon 7D and 10-22mm
This is a quick litle trip around Portland's Old Port area. Well known for its woderful little shops the Old Port is now becoming known as a prime east coast Foodie ...
thisis a very unique city, kind of reminds me of gastown here in vancouver
canada...so many brick structures and i bet most of the buildings along
some of these narrow streets were built before 1900. it dosen't look like a
typical am. city unless u have a newer part of portland maine. i know it's
not the biggest city but you haven't really got a downtown skyline that i
could see but neither did i spot anty big names like starbucks...we've got
22 downtown & 66 citywide so you'd spot them!
I think you will find many port cities have a feel that is similar. I
haven't been out west before so IDK about places like Seattle, sanfran ect.
The east coast is obviously a little older and has a rich history of when
this country was founded.. old vs new.. :) one thing I find interesting
growing up in new England is how the roads are curvy and hilly. many roads
started out as Indian trails so they meander around.. Not like the grid
abc/123 roads of newly built cities..
Yes I remember walking these streets! Isn't Portland, Maine amazing?! I'm a
city girl so I loved the shops & restaraunts here. I stayed at an old
Brownstone Inn on Congress Street with antique furniture & I remembered
being so fascinated by the gorgeous antiques in my room! I spent most of my
time by the water and walking around the neighborhood. As they say in
Maine...It was totally "wicked". Loved it!
I've lived in Lisbon maine all my life (21 years) and went down to old port
for the first time today, i've been to rome, london, edinburgh, bath,
venice and paris and I was just as impressed with old port as I was with
most of those places. it's great five guys has incredible burgers.
OMG I am soooooo homesick after watching this. Drinking at Amigos! Ever
been to Foreplay? Tell Bob that Paulie says hi from Florida! The Old Port
rules! Lower your taxes Maine! I wanna go home!!!!
Beautiful Place, Love the video. What Lens did you use Canon, sigma! Has the
7D heat issues gone away with the firmware updates. Nice Steady-cam work by
the way.
@FXLook I used the Glidecam 4000 on this one. Keep in mind that using the
10mm lense also goes a very long way to reducing apparent camera shake as
well.
My final edit of my Time-Lapse sequences of Portland Maine. All filmed with the GoPro Hero3+ Silver Edition. Filmed in Portland and South Portland Maine.
