Like the video. When I was a child there was this peach tree that had
curly leaf. My step father cut it down a few times. Then one day I saw it
growing and I saw it had some branches that were dead around the step. I
blessed the tree by pruning those branches and I saw later that the tree
was growing. That poor little peach tree grew better and was bearing fruit
that year. I felt that the peach tree was strugleing and I blessed it and
it grew. It was a heart warming experience and I have been into caring for
fruit trees ever since. I now am grown up and I have tons of fruit trees
and pine trees. I bless those trees with my care and they reward me with
fruit and the majestic nature of my pine trees I love so much.
+sonofjohn56 Sweet as bro.. I just planted a few barefooted trees of my own... Fingers crossed

I have had a Fig Bush growing outside my house in western pa for several
years, it grew good in the summer then dried up and the leaves fell off. I
split the root and I have another Fig bush growing in my Livingroom. I
split the root on Nov 21, 2012 and within a month I had leaves growing on
the branches above the soil within a month. I have plenty of pictures
documenting the progress. Thanks

Informative, I have 5 fig trees and they are doing well, did however bring
them in already due to the cool weather. My cousin from Italy brought a fig
tree with her from there a couple years back, its big now, she's going to
be sending me two cuttings. I pretty much know what to do as far as rooting
them. Any suggestions? Maggie
You may not want to prune your fig trees. It is not necessary to do it.
Figs will grow on all of the growth, but you may want to shape your tree so
pruning would help do that. Also, pruning at the end of the year promotes
next years growth and you will get more figs. I have 8 fig trees and this
has worked for me.

@bzdarko True, but she did get rid of pieces that weren't receiving good
light. Not necessarily what she said she was gonna do, but effective
nonetheless to prevent wasting precious nutrition towards parts that simply
won't do as well because of where they are located.
yeah, but during the winter you have to wrap burlap around the tree, and
then a black plastic. im thinking about growing some on my farm on long
island ny, but its allot of work taking care of them in colder climates.
She states that she wants to open up the tree so more light can get to it
but she only cuts the bottom 3 or 4 branches. I do not see how that worked.
She just 'neatens' up the tree.
