The new gas can ruin the O rings and anything else that is rubber in the carb.I make sure that i use premium and dont leave the bowl full for more than 2 months. Be sure to run the motor out of gas then drain the bowl.

when you squeeze a primer bulb in a 2 cycle walbro carb, should you see the
mixture squirting in the throat of the carb?some say yes, some say no,
you're the expert, what is the correct answer?...
+pei bossmanI think the bottom line is that a rebuild kit for a walbro is between $5 and $10, and it's mainly just changing gaskets. It would be easy to just rebuild it and put your mind at ease.
Different manufacturers make them different ways. So the answer is yes and no, both. Most modern small engines with 'primer bulbs' have a carb that uses crankcase back-and-forth pressure to move gas. Some of them, like small 2-cycle motors, usually don't squirt into the carb itself. They just move gas from the tank to the carb. Others, usually larger engines such as on a mower, actually squirt some primer fuel into the carb itself. You'd have to ask about a specific engine to know whether the question is yes or no, but in either case the primer bulb is usually doing what it's supposed to.

frustrating.
Thanks for the feedback, Tommy. We've never heard the comment about the lighting; perhaps a monitor or screen brightness setting is affecting the way it displays on your monitor or mobile device.
