How to connect ricoh network printer Videos

+Morten Kristoffersen The cartridge does not have any electronics/chips for indication. So there is no indication of toner/cartridge running out.Steady blue light is power on and that seems to be normal. Flashing red is some error, may be paper jam, out of paper, cartridge not properly inserted. Could be any error, I just checked the user guide and there is no clarity on red flashing. We probably just have to guess.One frequent issue I face is paper input. There is some issue with paper input on similar models. The paper doesn't go in. The printer tries to print when you first switch it on, the paper doesn't go in so the red light starts flashing. If its the same case with you, remove paper from input feeder and try inserting single paper or bunch of papers. It sometimes takes 3 or 4 attempts. I guess this is the most probably cause. I had this issue in the beginning but it is less frequent now.Here is the line from user guide."This indicator lights up red when the machine runs out of paper or consumables, when the paper settings domatch the settings specified by the driver, or when other abnormalities occur."

+Arvind Bakshi I haven't tried local market toner, but it should work. I have no idea of Canon. I think how many times in a laser printer mainly depends on the drum life. I remember reading this printers drum life to be 12000 pages(not very sure) though it may actually last much longer. So I think on a minimum side you can refill the cartridge for upto 12000pages.

+Naveen Kumar Log a complaint with Ricoh. Read somewhere that after raising a complaint, Ricoh technician visited and solved the issue in 5 minutes.This is a very annoying issue on an otherwise awesome printer. I'm facing the issue but not as much as you seem to face.

+Naveen Kumar Thats the most annoying part of owning the Ricoh SP series printers I think. I do face it usually when I try to insert one paper. Insert 5 or 6 papers even when you have to print only one paper and if possible leave the remaining papers there. Just add more papers when needed but do not allow the input go empty.

+koko285 See if the drivers and software are available online. I heard that downloadable is not in english. Make sure you create a restore point before installation so that you can restore in case installation is not usable.Other option is to use a virtual cd drive, for this you will need another pc with a cd drive to copy the contents of the original disk.

We don't now of any that allow disabling the color cartridge. You can purchase additional feeder trays for most Ricoh printers. Hope that helps.
