Neural Network Training (Part 1): The Training Process
From //www.heatonresearch.com. In this series we see how neural networks are trained. This part overviews the training process.
Um, this isn't a good deployment of presentation technology; it's actually
significantly worse that a simple whiteboard. I'm really trying to get
behind Encog as a tool, but I'm really finding the book (yes, I bought it),
documentation and training resources really clunky and opaque. And I say
this as someone who's actually developed docs and training seminars for all
kinds of IT products. I know that Heaton can't wear all the hats, but this
stuff isn't great. He needs an editor, or something.
E=mc² does not tell you about energy produced, it tells you about energy
something has. Also, c is the speed of light, not the velocity. Velocity
has a direction, speed is merely a number. (Velocity is a vector) It's
unrelated to the topic, but I couldn't resist :D
By watching this video I'm actually training neutal network in my brain, so
it will later be able to train other artificial neural networks, wich will
then be able to do some work...
this video was done in hurry, i might made some mistakes.. Train and test... back propagation neural network.. in this demo i put layer 3.. and layer 1 and 2 i put ...
Neural Network Training (Part 3): Gradient Calculation
In this video we will see how to calculate the gradients of a neural network. The gradients are the individual error for each of the weights in the neural network.
When i calculated H2 i got 0,005 (not minus) -> Input in wolframalpha:
(sigmoid(1,05) * (1-sigmoid(1,05))) * 0,045 * (0,58).
Maybe I am missing something?
+Honza Beníšek Having read his book, Introduction to the Math of Neural Networks, jeff also appears to provide this example but with a positive result. It may be an error in this video. Cheers.
+K. Chris Caldwell It is an optimized version, because the derivative of sigmoid itself contains the original sigmoid function, I pass in the result of the sigmoid function. More info here: //www.heatonresearch.com/wiki/Sigmoid_Activation_Function#Derivative_of_Sigmoid
