With the release of the new Airport Express, I decided to extend my network and use the device as my main router. I show how easy it is to setup the network and ...
ok so i have a ethernet power line adapter in my room and a spare airport
extreme hanging around, can i plug that ethernet power line adapter into
the airport express? if so can anyone link me to a tutorial or just tell me
how i to do it? GREAT VIDEO TOO MAN!
I use a mobile broadband wifi router and tried to extend my network
coverage inside the house but it would only allow me to connect to the
network, not to extend it... I can't work out why or what's wrong?
The router you have may not use the same protocol to allow the Airport to
extend from it

Review of the Apple Airport network time capsule with wifi
I don't like it. This is my PERSONAL OPINION. Just because it has an Apple logo on it does not make it good. BAD Product! For those who don't understand ...
It's not a perfect product by any means, but it can be mounted on it's
side, upside down, etc - as long as it's not moved while disk access is
taking place. I have mine on it's side since new (4months ago). Hard disk
work in any orientation these days.
If you don't want it you can send it to me. lol!!!

Problems with Extending network with Apple Airport Express
Help please...So, I found your channel because I bought the same 7100 TV as
you. It will be here next Wednesday. I'm also an Apple guy. Sounds like you
are saying I will get a better connection speed/stronger if I buy the new
Airport Extreme? I use one that is 3 years old...it's upstairs in my home
office and the signal is very weak going to our iPhones and old TV. I want
this new TV to be fast when I get on the internet. I do NOT have a E.N.
connection down stairs. Please get back to me. Thanks
Thanks you. I appreciate that! We will be showing some new 802.11ac speed
testing once Apple releases new MacBook Pro Retinas and the new Mac Pro as
they will have 802.11ac in them. We were going to use a new MacBook Air for
802.11ac testing, however, without a Retina display we simply cannot use it
as we edit, post-production and rendering; we enjoy the Retina (we've got
use to it and spoiled with it by Apple). We anticipate new iPad and iPad
mini to have the 802.11ac, as well as, new iPhones.
Personally, in this testing and since I've owned the new AirPort Extreme, I
am having exceptional signal and reliable speeds. Additionally, I have that
2012 Time Capsule 1TB plugged in via Ethernet cable to the new Extreme. I
have the wi-fi portion turned off on the Time Capsule but use it for Time
Machine backups. Upstairs I use a Base Station to connect to wi-fi and
provide an Ethernet connection upstairs. May sound complex, but AirPort
Utility makes it a snap. Excellent speed upstairs too.
I had a quick question of which i would hope you could answer for me as i
cant seem to find a clear answer over the net I have fibre boradband
installed at my house, however, the signal barely reaches to the back room on
the second floor. If it does connect, given the weakness of the signal
coverage,it does not connect at a fibre rate.Would Airport Extreme help me
with this?is it suitable for fibre connection? if so,can this basically be
used to replace the current router that i have? Thank you!
This would increase your local LAN speeds ONLY if your are upgrading from
say just a wireless A/B/G/N router. The only way to increase your Internet
or WAN connection speed would be to increase your package with your
high-speed Internet provider. This new 802.11AC will provide greater speeds
and greater coverage than previous generations. Match it with a 802.11AC
wireless adapter and you will see a major increase. Hope that helps. If
not, ask me more. Thanks for watching and please subscribe
Thank you Brother. I have been using inSSIDer for Mac OSX which reads RSSI,
channel, as well as, max data rate while showing each SSID. I happen to use
the AirPort Extreme, Time Capsule 2012 and a AirPort Express in my
home/office so I can see all of those APs but I want to check out what you
recommended too. Thank you for passing along this information. I'll let you
know how it goes. Thanks for the comment, watching and please subscribe for

I got almost a 3x increase in signal just moving from the Time Capsule
2012. That only has 802.11a/b/g/n. With the new AirPort Extreme, you can
take advantage of the new antenna design, as well as, the 802.11ac which is
greater coverage and higher speeds. I would highly recommend it! I run
about 13 devices, live streams, game consoles, etc off of this without a
hiccup. I would buy one and take it home and test it out for yourself.
Worse case scenario, keep your receipt and return it.
My Internet (WAN connection) has remained the same no matter what device I
used because that is controlled by Comcast with their Blast Plus cable
modem Internet service which is 55Mbps download and 12Mbps upload. What
made the new AirPort Extreme better than the rest is the new 802.11ac
hardware combined with the new tower style antenna structure. In this video
and in my experience, the signal strength increased almost 3x. Which gave a
higher data rate to each connected device.
I would recommend this product. Read my comment above in reply to another
viewer about my Apple setup. Can also be seen on my YouTube channel, as
well as, Instagram. Save your receipt and if you don't notice an increase
in signal, speeds and reliability in your setup/environment, then take it
back and exchange it for something that might work better for your needs.

If i connect the 2013 apple extreme right next to my Linksys router, will
it speed up my connection? or is it just used to have a stronger connection
to different parts of the room if i have it set up in different parts of
the house but still conneced to the same router

Apple's new Airport base stations are so pretty and full of magic

+Eddy Nelson Lopez Sounds crazy, but it's totally worth it. I've had Extreme for 7 years now, and is by far the most reliable router I've owned. I just ordered this one to replace it, and will probably keep it another 7 years.
+Intel & Nvidia SUXXZZZ!!! Get off your high horse. Yes I have seen them all and all of them are consumer grade. If you want reliability, enterprise grade hardware is the way to go.
+Tabish Syed You must be stupid. Have you heard the beast of a router? Have you heard of Asus? RT-AC87U? RT-AC3200? And now they have a real beast with super high performance router than will beat the crap out of this piece of crap Apple Airport! And with the same money, I would get one of those. In the meantime, check this out. And don't be a stupid fool.//www.cnet.com/au/products/asus-rt-ac5300u-router/
Apple airport extreme is actually one of the best, hardware wise. Great for access points, never needs to be reset for years unless you yank the power cord. Please do some research and educate yourself before bashing Apple, Nvidia, Intel.
+gargilbert no. because its you who are using it. so you pay for yourself, you idiot.but i give you a good suggestions. sell away your apple airport and get another router.
+gargilbert You are indeed stupid. Don't bother replying if you don't know what the difference between real specs and overrated and overpriced products that comes from Apple.
Im sorry to say it to you but i bought one before I saw this comment and the airport extreme is so easy and straight up. It even tells me when it needs an update for the firmwire thru my iphone with the AirPort Utility App that Apple Offers. Super easy like extremely.lol lol
+gargilbert Go buy either Asus or TP-Link or Linksys Router. They are the best. Most PC tech reviews would recommended mostly from these brands. And F*CK Apple.//www.tomsguide.com/us/best-wifi-routers,review-2498.html//thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-wi-fi-router/
After hunting for a good wireless base station for months I finally try out the Airport Extreme. Bought from the Apple store on the promise that if it does not work ...
