Yall just effin stupid!! Mercedes has no style?? Check your selfs before
you wreck your selfs!! Mercedes has some kind of ere design, when they
pulled maximum out of that design, they move forward. Look a history of E
class for example. They do have their sign, long hood with monster of an
engine inside, big griil with big Benz star. I've never heard better V8
sound that can compete with AMG V8s. This baby Benz has 4.0 BiTurbo V8 and
sounds like so much stronger and almost N/A. So stop bitching. Now, WHO
interduced Limo/Coupe style and who have copied it?? BENZ did and others
copied it. Mercedes has longest history, they make best cars with best of
technology witch they invented. Look it the fuck up if yall not belive me.
People from Mercedes never bitched about it... but now when Mercedes
interduced a car that can fight hard with 911 everybodys freaking the fuck
out. OMG IT LOOK LIKE 911 COPY. ARE YALL BLIND?? Yall and including me can
just watch those cars here and if we lucky enough, in person. So just effin
enjoy yall!! These are one heck of a cars!! And they are beautiful!!
True!!! First internal combustion engine car in human history? Mercedes! End of story! By their logic everyone else is copying. Otherwise the still would have been with steam engines :)
I'm going to buy one of these 2 cars (Amg-gt and 2015 911 4s gts) as my 2nd
car.
It is very hard to choose which one would be better for me..
I have had cars of BMW, Benz, Audi and Hyundai..
I haven't owned Porche yet..so I decided to buy 911 GTS before. But now the
design of AMG gt is attracting me a lot.
If you were me which one would you buy?
AMG = I am gay
.
.
I am gay and I don't have any kids nor any friends so I don't have rear
seats... I just like to drive around alone in my AMG and stare at people
looking at me... yaaaaay gaaaaay
nine eleven = is from heaven!!
.
.
if you have friends and family and kids... you will love how everyone
reacts when you step on it especially if you have a turbo... and also when
you take street turns... the g's are insane!!! you can do a sharp 90deg
turn from inside lane to inside lane at almost 30m/hr... perfectly legal
but totally insane!!! buckets front and back makes it so enjoyable... front
trunk "frunk" is so practical... think about it!!! it really is!! why
always go around the car to get your stuff..........
I look forward to Porsche doing a split turbo like F1 mercedes... Funny AMG
didn't already do it!!!! Porsche always adapts faster...
ps. 911 turbo does +30mpg on high way at 65mph!!!!
The thing is, a Porsche looks like a Porsche. AMG doesn't really have a
design identity which is why this one looks like a hodge-podge of a lot of
different brands: Jaguar, Viper, Porsche, Daytona Coupe.... Go back with
the SLS. That car has a unique look and it's badass.
+jimpaokara Just my two cents worth. Estate vehicle would be Panamera, and 4x4 and soccer mom vehicles the Cayenne and Macan. I replied without reading the other replies, so I hope I'm not too annoying :)
+jimpaokara I would agree with you about Porsche, they're still doing what they were. Although, they have become a big estate and 4x4 manufacturer, people movers and soccer mums... the 911 is no longer the bread & butter of the company, it's a bit like the flying lady on the Rolls Royce...
Look up 'Chris Bangle' and 'flame side design' and see what you get. Yes, they kept the kidney grill, but bangle set them on quite a different track. I think they've more or less recovered, but only just...And don't tell me about Rolls Royce keeping anything - Rolls Royce still build jet engines, but the cars sold under that name are BMWs.
+Kneedragon1962 BMW never changed it's designing philosophy in the last 40 years or even more at all.All BMW are very easily recognizeable. They all have the same aggressive lines, the same sporty character, the double kidney grille and even the style of the lights remains the same all these years.Every new model is just a modern and better version of the old one.And I disagree with you about Jaguar. All the new Jaguar sedans (saloon models) are like Subarus. The only car brands which have kept their designing heritage are BMW,Rolls Royce,Porsche,Mini and Alfa Romeo. All the others car companies just don't base their models to their history and heritage. And in my opinion only BMW and Porsche have kept their values from the past untill today.
+jimpaokara Let's take some perspective on this. All through the '80s BMW built cars that had character and charm and style. Then they hired an Englishman by the name of Bangle, to give them a whole new style. He did... They're still getting over that... Compared to that, this is a pretty mild and harmless style. I rather like it. ... Besides, look at what Jaguar and Alpha Romeo are doing. They're all trying to build cars that look like the good old days. Well this does.
+Kneedragon1962 For a huge automotive company like Daimler it would be unaccepatble to make it even worse. So the point you mentioned isn't an excuse anyway.Nowadays you should say "they could have it much better" instead of what you said.
+Kneedragon1962 What did you say??Classic mercedes benz styling??What's that?Mercedes never had and never will have a design identy or classic style.Every fucking model of mercedes is completely differnet from it's predecessor. And this model is ugly as hell despite the fact that it has stolen the design of the historic Porsche 911.It's a huge (negative) achievement for mercedes to manage to do this!
+Kneedragon1962 Classic front clip with classic Porsche rear clip.... See link below for a side-by-side comparison. //social.mercedes-benz.com/clipping/mercedes-amg-gt-vs-porsche-911-doing-the-numbers/ I love how Mercedes's fans are afraid to admit it looks like a hodgepodge of several non-Mercedes designs :-) :-)
+Bun Bun What... The front clip is definitely Mercedes SLS and the rear 2/3 of the car is Porsche all the way. Whose looking at brake calipers or taillights, we are talking body lines.
+porschesgt1tt The only similarity I saw was a square-ish rear light and orangey-yellow brake calipers. Porsche undoubtedly created that style when they started trying to make the 911 look different for a change and less like a Volkswagen Beetle, yet failed.
