Bilateral Vestibular Cat
Here is a kitten that might have Bilateral Vestibular Disease.
No, it has nothing to do with the neck. I have a Vestibular Disorder, I
have no idea if it acts the same in people as animals, but I feel like if I
didn't have the mental abilities as a human to know not to act that way, I
would act that way. I am constantly confused and freaked out by noises.
I am so sorry it took so long to write back...but if you can take this
video off of youtube and use it...you can. I don't know if it is too late
but go right ahead and use it if it will help you ..
Poor baby! Does the disease range in many kinds of animals? It looks like
the disease takes over the nerves and your part of your brain that controls
your neck and head. plz leave a comment
This was a kitten who was diagnosed with vestibular disease and we actually
saw her back a couple of days ago and she is doing a lot better. You can't
really see the symptoms anymore
Kafei has idiopathic vestibular disorder which causes him to have nystagmus, rolling tilted head movements, off balance walking (mostly in circles) and falling.
Did Kafei recover? My 2 year old cat had a very rapid onset of these
symptoms yesterday and it has been very scary. Since it's the weekend I had
to take her to emergency and not my regular vet. The doctor at
emergency insist that vestibular syndrome is very rare in young cats and
that it must be some kind of toxin she got into. It's been almost 24 hrs
and she seems to be improving but still wobbly and doesn't want to walk or
eat.
feline vestibular disorder Billy cat
feline vestibular disease symptoms. This is Billy. He is around 5 years old and came down with it pretty bad three days ago.
Hi I would like to say, your video is amazing on how far Billy has come, We
just finally found out from your video what is happening to our "MYI" we
have brought her to the vet & they had no idea what is wrong with her, she
has had blood tests & ex-rays & meds but they never thought it was the ear
& I know 100% in my heart this is what she has we are going back to the vet
on Monday to show them a web site that my friend found for me cause it has
been a week now she is on these meds & not helping
sorry couldn't fit everything I wanted to say. The gave her meds for heart
worms & an anti biotic She finally at 15 crunchies on her own today I was
crying so much. I have been feeding her & giving her water with a syringe
since last Friday. She will not drink on her own & I feel so bad by forcing
her but what else can I do & also the potty help here do that also. I have
been crying everyday but today she made me proud by eating a few crunchies
herself Thank you so much for having your video
my cat percy suddenly started acting like this 7 days ago he spent 3 days
at the animal hospital doin really bad but he has been home for 3 days and
and he seems to get better every day. the vet never mentioned this disease.
thank you for posting this vid
OMG! Thank you so much for posting these videos! My 20 year old cat had an
episode 1 month ago and after extensive blood work, ECG, ultra-sounds and
$1,500.00 of emergency vet bills NOT ONE OF THE 5 vets that saw her even
mentioned this. After seeing the videos on YT - I am convinced, this is
what she has. I could not believe how she could be falling down, head
tilted, walking sideways on MOnday and on Friday- able to stand. She has
recovered but is not the same. I want to get her ears check
Polly, a cat who died from unrelated causes last year, aged 22, made a
complete recovery from vestibular disease. She was put on antibio's and
given lots of TLC by me. I did some very gentle physio: holding her front
legs while I knelt a little way from her and encouraging her to slowly walk
toward me on her hind legs, the way you would teach a child to walk, being
careful to do this little and often.
My cat Gligli (video above) is having this symptoms since yesterday. I took
her to the vet, she took some injections and today she's slightly better. I
still have to take her to the neurologist for further exams. How is your
cat now? How long he took to get better? Did he got better at all?
Thanks for the reply. Its been mabey 3 weeks now and hes revovered alot. He
walks normaly and is playful again. Only problem is that his head is still
tilted. Other than that hes ok. I hope ur cat gets better. Its realli sad
to see cats suffer this way. Especially when there good cats.
My cat is doing alot better now. Hes playfull and can walk normal again.
But his head is still tilted. It took him mabey a whole month for him to
recover and to act the way he used to. Like i said, hes not 100% recovered,
but hes doind alot better than when he first got the Disease.

Looks like cat seizure, but it's called Vestibular Syndrome!
I thought my cat was having seizures one night (I took this video to show the vets) and jumped onto Youtube to see if I could find another cat doing something ...
Feline Vestibular disorder what day 5 looks like (Originally looked like a seizure)
Part two... five days into recovery. Wobbly, some nystagmus, head tilt, sorry about my loud sound... turn your sound down to avoid my silly calls to the pets....
