Yea, I have read all the different bad reviews about the luminox watches,
and all I can say is they must havebought them on line and they are fakes !
I bought mine from my local high end jewelry store , who is also the ONLY
AUTHORIZED LUMINOX DEALER in the southern half of the state. Sure , I paid
a little more than if ordered on line, but I know what Ive got. If I ever
have even the smallest of problems they will take care of it. Had mine
about a year and have put it through hell ! It has performed perfectly.
Swimming. diving. you name it. GREAT WATCH !!!
as well as my OM i also own a seamaster, but with sword hands rather than
the james bond style. (I also own a TAG F1) - The OM way outperforms the
seamaster on a dive... the biggest flaw with a seamaster is its smooth
bezel....looks lovely down the pub but is next to useless on a cold dark
british dive to 53m in the english channel!! the bezel and lume on an OM is
the best i've ever seen...all for a tenth of the price! So much so looking
to sell both TAG and Seamaster as i just dont wear them!
@barkerville I actually sold this watch. Not any fault of the watch at all,
I just moved up to an Omega Seamaster. I will tell you though, it is
comfortable as hell! That soft rubber strap has me wanting to puck up
another one just as a backup/beater watch. The Tritium is a really nice
feature for the dark, and I see your getting the chrono version, so that is
also very useful. It is a tough watch. My only "cons" were that is doesn't
have a screw-in crown and it is mineral crystal. Congrats!
the bezel has absolutely NOTHING to do with measuring air or the time of
air on a dive!!! When will these watch reviews on dive watches actually be
carried out by a qualified scuba diver who knows what they're talking
about?! (fyi.. the bezel is to measure time at a certain depth, for
nitrogen intake, for decompression management. Air is measure on a seperate
hose and guage direct from the tank - or a dive computer with integral air
combined with seperate inducer on the tanks first stage).
BEST BUY amzn.to\xTPqpC Customer Reviews: all watches are a compromise.
This watch offers very few. By any standard this watch keeps very accurate
time based on atomic watch comparisons. Its light weight, attractive (not
in a dressy way)and rugged. The light system associated with these evo
watches has to be experienced to be appreciated - it exceeds most
expectations. The only ... For more details please copy the Amazon link

i love watches, actually use a seiko orange monster for back up to my
suunto computer... I also quite like the look of tactical trinium tube
watches for mucking around with.... would prefer an automatic to battery
though....i know they're more expensive and less accurate than quartz but
theres something less clinical and more mechanically appealing with an
automatic....
sorry, i AM a BSAC Dive Leader AND certified Open Water Instructor with
over 300 dives...... The watch is useless without a depth guage as well!
All used as back-up to a computer these days...... in fact, an UWATEC
bottom timer is far more valuable as a back-up to a computer as at least it
shows ascent rates and depth, rather than a watch.....
@TheSpiritOfTheWest Well they are both great, but I think I'd recommend the
Orange Monster. It is a LOT of watch for the money and anyone will tell you
the same. I actually don't own either anymore as I sold them for my Omega
Seamaster, but the OM is one that I would definitely re-buy. It also comes
in black.
@jondkel3 I've heard that too, but you have to remember, it is a beater
watch. If you want a classier watch you can get one. As a matter of fact I
have since upgraded this watch to a higher-end Luminox made of all
Stainless Steel. It cost quite a bit more, but both were worth their
respective prices. =)
Well that is 2 completely incorrect things you said in 2 comments. I'm not
even a diver, rather a lifeguard, and I still know that this is wrong. I
can't imagine what an actual certified instructor would say! One of the
MAIN features of the watch is a failsafe should any other computers or
gauges fail.
hahahaha that puts a smile on my face! i have all sorts of g shocks and
luminoxe watches, gerbers and spyderco knives, surefire and fenix
flashlights, and i just started collecting zippos. (And i plan on getting a
few guns when i get older to) so for me, you hit that cliche right on the
head
Great review, thanks. After submitting this video around a year ago, would you
mind letting me know how it has held up after wearing it every day?I have
just purchased my first Luminox (3081 Blackout Chrono) and just wanted some
opinions?Thanks again for the upload.
don't forget the tier 6 thru 10 watches, that would cost $100,000+ The IWC
Grande Complication retails for $300,000+... I have an IWC, but just a
"cheap" $6000 model... and also three of those "Psycho" watches you
mention, although I pronounce it "Say-Ko"
its all about the intent rather than the figures. Many times more people
own cars than guns throughout the world, so now compare percentage of car
owners who have killed with their car to percentage of gun owners who have
killed with their gun.....
@luzac159 I know exactly how it is pronounced. You may have heard me wrong,
but the funny thing is, I sold this watch and bought a SEIKO. I was
uploading the video about that yesterday, but the upload failed. That video
will be up later. =D
why wouldnt you? its desinged as a functional dive watch, so wear it to
dive!! OK, the bezel is pretty crap to work with....but I've taken both to
53metres in dark cold water and the omega was fine (once i set the bezel
with difficulty!)
Cool review man!! Hehe, you are right! I'm into Guns, Knives, Flashlights,
Watches and Zippo but not so much now because I don't smoke anymore hehe. I
will be getting the Colormark next week all blackout. I cant wait!!
@timberland1108 You can get a metal band for it, but you have to get it
aftermarket. If you want a nice Luminox for not too much more, look at my
other Luminox video. The 6312 is solid steel and a stainless bracelet.
