Not sure what me playing it on video is going to do for anyone. A
microphone on a cell phone or any recording no matter what device is going
to replicate how a system sounds for some to hear it like it is in a
vehicle. J/s
Do you have to use an amp? I'm looking to change the factory sub
because it's blown and sounds shitty but I don't want to put an amp in the
back because it takes up a lot of space. Can you help me out.
+Creampuff-Swag There actually is a factory amp in there if you have it connected to your stock radio. So the answer is no you do not need an amp. But I wouldn't go crazy on buying an expensive subwoofer as that amp cannot handle much power. The subwoofer we used would probably be perfect or even something with a little lower RMS. Expect to pay about $20 for one which isn't bad at all. and I have heard replacing most factory subwoofers to aftermarket will make it sound way better. Hope this helps you out!
This is my factory subwoofer (10" 100 watt). Kicks pretty good for factory. I'm replacing it with 2 10's. Tell me what u think. You can't really hear it but you can tells ...
Sony Xplod 10" Subwoofer, Stock Ford Territory Ghia, "Put On" - Young Jeezy
Sony Xplod 10" Subwoofer installed in a Ford Territory Stock Sanyo Amplifier (Under Front Passenger Seat) ------------------------------ Rate And Comment.
Haha yea sorry guys. The factory amp on these cars is under the passenger
seat which from memory is a sanyo haha. If you have probably all ready
heard in the stock systems if you have a trained ear you can hear a very
shitty sounding sub coming from the right hand side of the boot looking in
from the back behind the 2 little grills. Thats where the so called "sub"
is haha. Waste of time really.
I am looking at upgrading my sub in my territory and possibly putting in a
new amp, but i can't seem to find any info on how it is done....Are you
saying that all you did was d/c the stock sub in the back and use those
existing wires to rewire the new sub in?? Will the stock amp push out
enough power to run the sub at a decent output?
yer dey really gud cars da only thing bad bout dem is da original sub. I
changed ours by cuting da wire to da original one and rewiring it to da
xplod. da power amps unda passenger seat 4 anyone wgo wondering and its
puts out 75rms to da sub Great car bt try get da turbo if u can
