Excellent video, but I was hoping for more of a demo at the end. I have a
'93 Ranger, which is essentially the same as yours. There isn't anything
faulty with my speakers, but as you know they sound pretty lousy. Did you
find that installing these new speakers was a significant improvement and
do you think they are worth it even if the stock speakers still perform as
intended?
I love my music, but I don't love it in my beloved Ranger.
Quick connect wires? You're missing out on dripping molten solder(soldering
gun $30) on your carpet and burning your fingers with a heat gun($60)
shrinking the shrinking wrap. $ 10 you fool! LOL
+bradley abrams lol im trying to figure out what your talking about, cant see anything then with electrical tape on them, this has nothing to do with the speakers right? What are the 'strings' attached to?
Pyle is a lower brand. I see there products in shop. I gotta say there
speakers are not bad. Very cheap for what they are. But with my experience
and knowledge I really dont recommend using there amplifiers or subwoofers
or Car stereos . They have way to much problems.. want amazing cheap car
audio? Building a new system? Try out boss audio. They also are a lower
brand but they have way better reviews than Pyle.
i accidently cut of my plug because i thought i could use the red
connectors with them and i could just pinch everything together. could i
buy a ford connector and just do it like that to connect my speakers?
When I saw you didn't check to see if the speaker worked before you started
screwing everything back in I thought "this guy has done this before and
knows what the hell he is doing"
Thanks for the instructional!
Thanks for the video bro, my subwoofers knocked one of my door speakers
loose in my ranger so i'm taking that sumbiatch apart this morning in an
attempt to fix it.
I had this 2004 ranger a week, found two cheap boxes with 8s at a flea
market for 10$s , i had to cut the whole back out of passenger side to fit
sacraficing the tweeter, and notch the top part of the driver side to set
under the lip, the center arm rest still won't open with seat all the way
back. However the tops of the boxes makes for a nice shelf to set a box of
crackers, "don't ask" I replaced the cheap 8s with some Kicker freeair 8s i
had collecting dust. Now i have to wire them up to the factory stereo, and
i can't find any wires, i thought they would be in the panel where the
factory speakers are, but i remove the grill and no speakers, and i can't
find a wire there. thinking these were dummy grills and no speakers were
ever there from the factory. But the dash unit does have a fade from front
to rear, just nothing coming out of the rear, so for the moment i have fade
set to just fronts.. are there any wires back there to use, or will i have
to run them from the dash unit all the way back?
+AmericaChat Zetaboards Well on my truck i already had the wires & speakers in the rear doors. The previous owner may have removed them (for some reason) lol and may have just tucked the wires away inside the door. So I would look vigorously for the wires first before I resorted to that
It depends is it flush with the door or does it have a protection plate that you can screw off?
