From web , the city changed it name to Toyota where the company's
headquarter is located in 1959. This is the only city in japan that a city
was named after a company. There is Hitachi city in Ibaraki prefecture, but
the company was named after the city. Sister cities of Toyota are Detroit
and Derby,England where Rolls-Royce company is located . Name of the bridge
is Toyota oohahi (Toyota big bridge ). Members of Toyota Family have never
become a Mayer of the city. continued .....
Continued ..... Most people in the city own cars, so public bus
transportation is not good as other place in japan . Due to Japanese hate
to work at factories, the city has 15,220 imigrants from Latan America,
over half of them are Brazilians, and their children go to Japanese schools
or Brazilian school in the city. Every end of July , they have Toyota
festival, about 15,000 fireworks ,it lasts 2 hours, it is one of the
biggest fireworks in Japan .
@SpiritofInsanity Roads in Japan are nearly perfect... If I had done the
same kind of video in my region, the camera would have bounced and crashed
onto anything in the car if I don't hold it tight... there are so many
bumps and holes onto the roads that we must change schock absorbers each 50
000 km because they become completely rubbish...
Is Toyota City a city for civilization? Or is it just for toyota owners?
how about if a Nissan or a Honda drive up there, are they allowed? I've
seen this on Top Gear and is curious, there's the internet search bar, but
it's different coming from a person.
The jazzy soundtrack music is always a nice touch to your road trip videos.
And you never secretly slipped in a Hoodoo Gurus song as you drove around
when the video was not recording...ha ha :D Thanks for letting us enjoy the
ride too !
@isunamitch Yeah, roads where I live suck too :( I live in a desert, so
they expand in the summer when it's super hot but contract in the winter
cause it's really cold then. They can't take the stress, and crack all the
time. Ugh.
Awesome video. I come to Japan alot on business and always stay in Toyota
city. I too have watched all your videos and believe that you have captured
the essence of Japn very well.
Great vid. Really dig'n the music. Cool seeing all the little boxy cars
too. They don't bring most of them to the states though. Bummer. (want a
Daihatsu Tano Custom)
The very first time I went to Toyota City, I was surprised how much the
city was like in the US. Then I realized in Toyota City, you got to have a
car to get around.
@TheJapanChannelDcom 100littlecruises probably thought the video was of you
driving around the city in a toyota, probably doesn't know it was actually
toyota city.
You have, what I believe to be, the greatest and most comprehensive supply
of videos about Japan today and Japanese culture that I've seen on the
internet.
Vending machine 自販機 (jihanki) spotting in Toyota city, Aichi, Japan (HD)
Driving from my place near Suenohara station, past the Toyota Headquarters, into Toyota City and then finishing up at Toyota Statium. This video has also been ...
wow! it must be so interesting yet strange at the same time to be driving
on the left side of the road. I'm from America so i drive on the right
side. The steering wheels are also on the right side too i believe. The
bridge was pretty awesome too. Japan is such an amazing place. Thanks for
the vid:D
Well it's not strange at all for me because I'm from Australia! A few
friends from America here got used to it all pretty quickly. But yeah
amazing little place.
It's Snowing! In Toyota city, Aichi prefecture, Japan.
Woke up on the morning of December 26th, 2011 to see the first snow of winter here in Toyota. Missing out by just a few hours on a white Christmas, this is the ...
+Ericsurf6 let me know when you are coming by... lol
i-Road Public Trials in Japan
The first road trials of the Toyota i-Road by the public were held in Toyota City, Japan in March 2014. Trials are ongoing as part of Toyota's Harmonious Mobility ...
"On Sunday, the i-Road was let loose on public roads at an event to mark
its introduction into *Ha:mo* (Harmonious Mobility), Toyota's optimized
urban transport system. Soon, even more i-Roads will be zooming around
Toyota city when they are made available to residents at vehicle-sharing
stations. And later this year the lucky residents of Grenoble, France, will
also be able to have some three-wheeled fun, thanks to a #electric
#carsharing project that will last until 2017."

Snow Drive In Rare Heavy Snowfall in Toyota City, Aichi, Japan
This morning Aichi had rare and heavy (for this area) snow fall. It started at about 9PM the night before and kept going until about midday. It seemed heaviest ...
Yeah mate I'm an Aussie - with no experience driving in snow, so this was
wild! Tires aren't all season, as it usually doesn't snow so heavily in
Toyota. The snow kind of came out of no-where so most people were slowly
getting around on non-winter/snow tires.
Nice video, enjoyed it ... I dont think you would need snow tires for this
amount of snow, I assume japan uses all season tires, & with this little
amount of snow you'd be fine. Judging from your accent I assume you were
raised in a warm country, Aussie?
Piggles! "Quick" question: I'm arriving in Tokyo in less than 3 months, but
my language learning has been dropped because of geographical and
economical reasons. So I'm kinda behind on the language, but do you have
any good advices on learning Japanese? Even better; do you know any good
language schools where I can learn Japanese in Tokyo?
