Miami's Best Wins of the Al Golden Era | ACC Now
Al Golden is heading into his fifth season as head coach at the University of Miami. With Brad Kaaya, the reigning ACC Rookie of the Year returning under center ...
+grimygrime um was average at the time of all of these games. remember they were underdogs in each of those games. so blame the teams that um beat because they were supposed to beat um.
+David Smith Congrats on that stat, i'll take the W's over that stat anyday. We aren't looking for choir boys to play such a violent sport as football and isn't it ironic that you a Miami Hurricanes fan are calling out another school for criminal behaviour. wow.
+blastbeat666 How about not being in the news for having thugs players that like to beat up women. That's an accomplishment. It doesn't help win's but at least the media isn't talking about how bad Miami is. It's just like the U doesn't exist right now!!!!
you're absolutey right! well ole al is on the hot seat this year so we'll see...hey I can respect fsu who play us every year unlike that team in Gainesville who are afraid to schedule us...lol
+K. dot Miami football est. 1926.....FSU Football est. 1947. Miami had been playing for 21 years before FSU came on the scene. Yes, Golden=Shannon.....only difference is Shannon had Um on an ascent and Golden seems to have them going the opposite way. Good luck this season though.
+Gunnz287 I said fsu has been playing Division 1 longer than Um, but yeah I think al golden has a deal worked out with fsu...lol its all good though we'll see you guys on oct. 10th.
had it not been for the sanctions, trust me fsu would not have a 5 game streak on um. recruitment and depth take a major hit when you're under sanctions. so should fsu really be bragging about these past couple years when um wasn't full strength??? the same happened in the 90s when butch davis took over fsu was on a similar streak for about 4 or 5 years and when um got back to full strength look what happened. if schools can't recruit they can't compete point blank.
+K. dot yes i know, that's my point and that's why i said Miami isn't going to be back to the Miami the early 2000's. I'm glad that we have come to a consensus with that. And actually, Miami Football is older than FSU, by 21 years actually. FSU' 1st season was in 1947 and Miami's 1926 so yea....less than 70 years old with 3 titles, ill take that. Lol. The future is brighter at FSU. I'll be rooting for you guys next season (except vs FSU of course), Al Golden was the best thing that could have happend to FSU, i mean Miami. Lol
cook scored the game winner, but ramsey put a stamp on it, but I say jalen saved fsu because we were def gonna score. Um is a private school that is heavily funded by alumni and donations. we don't have millions of dollars to pay a coach. fsu is a public school funded by the state, alumni, and donations. fsu is a larger school with access to more money so they can afford to pay millions. that's the difference. UM has won 5 championships in 32 years with coaching from guys who were no-name coaches when they arrived, but made a name at UM. Fsu has had a d-1 football program way longer than UM and look how long it took them to get 3 rings...lol. golden hasn't signed an extension yet, but has fsu won 5 rings yet???? NO
+K. dot and who scored the "go-ahead TD"? Hmmm lol. Bwaahahahahah, man, U Canes fail to accept the reality of the landscape of college football right now. Yea, we beat one of our rivals in their house and we all know how rivalrt goes but i digress. Miami isn't rewinding the clock to the early 2000's. Why? Because they don't pay their coaches, NCAA football is an arms race right now and Miami has been losing and will contunue to lose. So did Golden sign an extension yet?
+Gunnz287 no it was jalen ramsey, because we were driving to score and ramsey sealed it with a pick. you had bubble guts that whole game I bet. now you're bragging because you barely edged out an average team...lol typical fsu fan. yall have beaten us 5 straight and still don't lead the series yet...lol oh yeah 8 losses I forgot about ok st. in the season opener last year.
+K. dot Actually Cook will be playing....and if memory serves correct, it was he - the prodical son - that snatched Da[]_[]'s heart out in front of his hometown crowd last year. Our backfield is stacked this year, Cook, Pender and fr. Jaques Patrick. Trust, we'll be more than fine this season. Did Al Golden sign another extension yet? Love that guy :)
yes a BIG problem...lol take Winston off that team last year and yall would've easily had 5 to six losses (Clemson, Miami, nc state, ND, UF, Louisville, GT). my fault I gave fsu too much credit. that's 7 losses. had it not been for jameis coming to the rescue. there whouldn't have been any playoffs..lol the running game is gonna have to be fsu's bread and butter this year..oh wait Dalvin cook might not be playing...lol good luck fsu! NOT!!!!
+Gunnz287 you guys got lucky last yr.... this yr I promise we will win! remember that!
Miami's Al Golden Excited About 2015 National Signing Day Class
ACC Digital Network host Tom Werme catches up with Miami Hurricanes head coach Al Golden to recap this year's recruiting class. Listen as Golden talks about ...
Coach Golden - Monday morning take a couple of minutes and enjoy this win.
The hard work you put into this program is showing up big time. These
players are staying together and just keep playing no matter what!! Morris
had a bad night, two offensive weapons out, but he saw the rest of the team
pick up the slack and keep everyone in the game. Block field goal for TD -
critical 3rd down stops - takeaways - just keep playing.
Thank you Clinton Portis for your dedication and leadership. You are big
part of the win last night vs UNC! Thank you Al Golden for bringing the
legends back to the U!
Wow ACCDN, love this coverage of the game. Do this for all the Big ACC
games, like maybe the FSU - Clemson game. I think that might be a pretty
good game. Go Noles!!!
Miami's Al Golden Goes Nuts For Kaaya To Dorsett TD Bomb | ACCDN Play Call
During ACC Kickoff, Miami head coach Al Golden tries on his play-by-play voice and goes nuts while calling a Brad Kaaya touchdown bomb to Phillip Dorsett.
+kalebpost20 look at the series between um and fsu. fsu is just now starting to catch up...lol and remember the canes had a run like this from 2000-2004 and in 2004 we beat fsu twice in one season. all streaks come to an end so get ready because there will be a lot of sad faces in Tallahassee this year. no more Winston to save your asses. :)
I like him too! If he keeps it up, Miami will never beat FSU!
