Not only will the water be pumped up, but all that litter that was on the track beds and now is swirling around. The middle of those rail tracks shall be very clean...if littering stops.

+Mar-Works- All I know is this Tsunami was terrifying and somehow I just want to watch it - because I guess it's just difficult to believe how powerful nature can be. And there's not much that we can do about these events. Very scary and sad to watch for all the helpless victims.

+Ima SuperPerson sadly I keep having to tell people that I looked into the story, the man who went back to close the door died, he would have been safer BUT we will never know, after all someone did stay in the car and the car flipped upside down under water when it was swept into a garage. I hating seeing it all the time for the simple fact I know his last moments was being polite..

+grant roland - He was a passenger. There was someone else still in the vehicle. That's the kind of thing my wife would do, except she'd just leave the door open and haul azz. lol Fortunately, I think it was safer at that point to stay in the vehicle. Not sure.

I cried during this. I was only 8 years old when this happened in Japan, where I also lived. How terrible those memories are. People say that since I'm 12 years old, I'm not mature enough understand the reality of the situation. But age doesn't matter when it comes to something so tragic and life changing as this. I will never forget that awful day. Not when I'm 15, not when I'm 30, not when I'm 80.

+Mar-Works Thank you. My parents understand perfectly how much I understood the situation since we were in it (the earthquake) together. It's usually the parents of my friends here in the US that don't understand. I was fortunate enough to live near Tokyo at the time. We were more effected by the earthquake then the tsunami. Many of my friends in Japan had family near the incident and were very worried. I think we can all agree that it was horrible for anyone living in Japan.

Just remember and be understanding, parents try to protect their children from harmful situations. You have to remind your parents that yes you are young, but so are the children that went threw this, sadly some did not survive that day, and some did but had no parents, many children ended up with grandparents or nobody after, if you go to the NHK japan website,a click on the 311 link on the side you can see the stories of those effected.thank you for watching, im glad you could see it

Many people do not listen to the warnings. The end is near, Jesus Christ is coming again to take us home. People must wake up and see that God is our only Salvation. Our only hope. Don't take these floods as a bad thing. I believe it's God's warning to those who do not believe, as they will suffer more. Maybe he's taking home the ones that do believe. God Bless Everyone, and all we can do is pray for the ones that have passed on and the ones that are suffering now.

"The Chinese written character for 'crisis' is made up of two parts, 'danger', and 'opportunity'" The compound he's referring to is 危機. Two characters. Furthermore, interpreting the second character as 'opportunity' is misrepresenting the meaning of that character in this context. Its meaning here is roughly 'critical point'.

+ShmerpyYou can thank GE for forcing the decision back in the 70s to place Fukushima's reactors #1,2,3 and 4 right down almost on sea-level (which saved money over putting it higher up on the hill, as the Japanese engineers wanted). Those reactors were sitting ducks and 3 melted-down. Luckily, the Japanese-built ones up on the hill were OK. It was the GE-built ones that got hit by the tsunami, straight-on. Just thank GE, for bringing "Good Things to Life", like MELTDOWNS.
