News Update: China to launch new pricing mechanism for rare earth minerals
China's government plans to implement a pricing mechanism for rare earth minerals in five of the coutnry's provinces and regions, according to China Daily.
US Resumes All-Important Rare Earth Mining to Offset Chinese
A major U.S. mine for rare earth metals has gone back into operation, adding a much needed source to offset China's control of the unique group of materials ...
@mantas1111000 All of that changes the focus of the map. Google 'middle
kingdom china world map', you will see how china views itself on the map.
It places itself in the center making it the focus of attention. Yes a
modern map usually has the us on the western hemisphere orriented how we
are used to but the fact is, if you grab a globe and turn it, this view
changes alot. Any case, these two guys are complete dipshits and probably
don't know any of this and just like to troll with fake info.
Blame it on the Chinks if it makes u happy. But come on mate! Europeans
raped Africa back in the day. Enslaved the ppl colonized the country. I am
not praising the Chinese but at least they r not doing those things in
Africa. They bring investment n opportunities to Africa n we r pissed that
they r doing it with money made from us. Know what we need to learn from
the chinks? Buying up a country is better then invading one. We got no oil
from Iraq but instead fought our way into recession.
@666NedFlanders My point is, the map is a standard map, just turned upside
down. And by turned, I mean printed. And by upside down I mean south where
north is on an upside up(standard). That's all I'm saying. I'm not trying
to discuss what they said, I just got to this video by looking for videos
on rare earth minerals and such, I'm not really looking for news atm.
@mrnawanshehr It is not actually upside down. Notice, "The World Map" is
right side up. Maps are printed in different orrientations depending on
where you live and buy the map. Its no uncommon to see the USA somewhere
other than the western hemisphere (by apperance) in foreign maps; sometimes
even upside down.
@AnjuABCDE Depending on where you buy a map, the orientation will change.
For example, if you live in austrilia you may find maps with it in the
center of the map. A map in china, is likely to me notated as 'The Middle
Kingdom" and be in the middle of the map.
@megaoceanpark impractical. A coltan mine is simply a hole in the ground,
and as such is very hard to sabotage, whereas oil is volatile, and oil is
easy to sabotage. It is much harder to get oil out of a war zone than it is
to get coltan.
@dangerouslytalented True! But then again did we even get a drop of oil
from Iraq? Lol... all that money invested in the war but no return. That
money could have save America from the economic melt down. That was the
"get away" money.
some physicist will find a new material or old material used in a new way
to replace rare earths, its happened b4 it will happen again. in fact they
now have graphene for faster transistors and graphene is not toxic like
rare earths.
@666NedFlanders Still, on that map, the south is where north usually is.
This map has the Atlantic in the middle, and is upside down. I believe i
can see when Africa or South America are upside down.
The USA has vast untapped rare earth reserves. Only greed for a quick
profit stopped mining in the USA - sources claimed it was much too
expensive to mine. We'll see!
@dangerouslytalented Then u know what we should have done? Sell weapons to
Iraq in exchange for oil instead of fighting them which even cost more
money.
@megaoceanpark That was the deficit. If there was no war, and no tax cuts,
the US would have no deficit. Clinton balanced the budget, and Bush spent
it.
That's yet another way to gain a price edge with Japanese and other Asian
electronics manufactures: Sell the rare earths cheaply (or give it freely)
to domestic, non-international manufacturers while making the minerals more
expensive to foreign competition.
their land, not anybody else's. if the belt is too tight, let some jobs
come back to manufacturing in industrialized nations. if anything, won't
this help the recycling industry and make things more green?
The BRIC countries could spark off a a financial crisis here as Western
markets determine to come self sufficient creating to distinct camps.
How China Came to Dominate Rare-Earth Metals - Episode 1160

China's behavior over controlling Rare Earth Metals (REMs) is easily
anticipated. This will only spur development or redevelopment of Australian
and American, in California principally, sources. And guess who will
develop the tech to sort out the REMs faster and more efficently? Not
China. Meanwhile, methods and technologies that do not use REMs at all are
being developed in Japan. China is a potentially hooting itself in the
foot, here.
fuck this shit, there is nothing rare about rare earth metals.. thats just
an archaic name given to those elements.. its incredibly dirty to mine
which is why America doesnt want to mine and process it
China is cornering the market for rare-earth metals used in hybrid batteries and electric motors. Toyota's in trouble, again, this time recalling vehicles for ...
Toyota needs to eat a **** and die already. are you kidding me. what are
they doing at toyota sleeping???? ridiculous...people are taking serious
gamble when they buy a newer model toyota...it's a shame since older ones
like my 93 camry le and 94 corolla dx were such good cars never any problem
with them, heck barely had to do brake jobs on them...great cars. nowadays
though toyota and lexus is one of the worst cars in my opinion.
interestingly enough havent really heard much on scion recalls.
@Techn0Fr0ntier you know how much a recall costs a company....and toyota
has had 10 million in just this year alone not GM not ford and not even
dodge has had this many recalls in ONE YEAR safest car company in the world
MY ASS....the 80s toyotas was bulletporoof....those days are gone when they
started building em here quality suffered thats another argument for
another day on pay rates etc but the facts are toyota has been cutting
corners for years look for more recalls in the coming years
@goru426 Production is down, quality is low. Why should auto workers drag
their companies to the ground because of OVER PRICED, OVER STAFFED work?!
The economy is down, American automakers are still down. In order to
compete with foreign companies, we need to lower the price of our cars
that, frankly, are often worse than their foreign counterparts. This is
basic economics--if you don't understand it, go to school.
The choice here is very simple. Either the US workers will become slaves
like their Chinese workers, or the Chinese workers will get better pay! US
corporations have already enslaved the workers China, now they want to
enslave the workers in USA! What if the corporations want to cut the pay to
$5/h in 2015, because of the Chinese slave labor? Is that still OK?
i think what the problem is that they spent too much time and money on
developing the outrageously overpriced LF-A Lexus supercar...as amazing as
it is...it's just dumb. Lexus has always been known as the more plush and
luxurious version of toyota for the american market.
There were many claims from about 300 users of these cars, but there aren't
any record of accidents on this problem. Toyota motto is to make real safe
car, and thats why Toyota decided to take on recall. Other car companies
would neglect even this problem happens.
Because of this guy's recent statement, supporting the pay cuts for all the
hard working people in the US auto industries I'm Unsubscribing from this
channel. Good luck to AutoLine Detroit in their support for the big
corporations and ultra rich people in USA!
@goru426 Have you ever heard of Federal and State minimum wage rates laws?
Dude seriously, before you post, stop, take a few seconds to think out your
thoughts, 'cause right now you're just sounding like a fanatic.
why are toyotas so popular in america they have recalls like nobodies
bissness, there just crap, but still if the orgin of them say jap americans
will buy them over the big 3s cars anyday, y i do not no, rediculous
@goru426 bah-bye (vana white) dude, its the lesser of 2 evils no one likes
it, but the US Auto Industry has historically (and currently) been a
showcase to the rest of the world of American ingenuity
Such a beautiful Journey. Though it would look better without the side
moldings, it doesn't fit witht that car to me. The current Journey has no
moldings.
@BLUERAY1611 Who is really a treat ?Dont forget how the amcerican treat
Japan in the past century foryour own interest and lead Jap economic rout
for more than 20 years by rising yen rate. Now your Govt. try to does the
same to RMB but we wont become the 2nd Jap Govt. The american emphasize
freedom and human right but wt your Govt, done is to coerce China sell REE
in cheap price to you and you never need to mine your own(U.S.A is the 2nd
large REE reserve country)?humm..hypocriticala and racal.
@lmola50 Even you can boycot it,most of products in developed countries
are made from labours or industry in China. In the past cenury, these
"cheap" products maintain the americans high standard life. China is the
only country different from the 3rd world contries and she wont let the
economic killers from American to rape thier natural resources. We`ve
really see though how selffish of your ppl done with them but you still
claim your-self justice ???
@Luffy327 So what. If you dont like it, go mine rare earths yourself.
OWNED. As an added bonus, you get to create some jobs in the process.
Dumbasses like you need to stop blaming China and watch this
watch?v=GgAZOffMj5Y&feature=related So China has to continue to poison
their lands just to satisfy YOUR needs? Fk you and go mine that crap
yourself if you want it. Fking hippies.
@lmola50 Balls to China. India aims to restart production of rare earths
late next year for the first time since 2004, a top government official
said on Wednesday.A major consuming market is Japan, where Indian Prime
Minister Manmohan Singh and his Japanese counterpart Naoto Kan agreed this
week to cooperate on minerals and metals.
@lmola50 You are absoulitely right boycot cheap SHIT FROM CHINA. China is a
treat to world's economy. While china become richer with the expense of
other country, rest of the world will become poorer. China is like a
"neonazi in making", stop now by boycoting chinese shit or repent later.
