Which book covers the time before that? From an American standpoint I see it as the oldest "which came first, the chicken or the egg" argument. @funkylicious14 I agree with you with your stand on Israeli's treatment of people of various parties, but I often feel that Israel is pressured to do so just to defend itself. Surrounded by hateful neighbours, peace is Israel's number one priority. And moreover, I believe in Israel's right to exist. However, if what you say is true, I respect you for your views, and your courage to come out as a Muslim against abuses of free speech. Cheers from a Christian, converted from atheism. =)

its still strikes me as supreme irony that the chancellor said "we must respect those freedoms (of speech) or else they are taken away from us", however the only group of people in the US that would attempt to take that freedom away, would be the jews. You cant really ask the youth of a university that is completely aware of what Israel does on a daily basis with no reguard for world opinion to give any serious thought to questions or comments posed with a hand in the air...
