First, you should loosen the pulley nut before taking off the belt or any
other bolts while it is still in the car. When installing the alternator,
tighten the pulley nut after the belt and alternator hold down bolts are
installed. If the pulley turns(and the engine) while removing or
tightening the nut, use a socket on the crankshaft pulley with a breaker
bar. The breaker bar will stop the engine from turning once it is against
the frame. Also, you might have to tighten the belt tension some. This
will help the so the fan does not get damaged.

Nope, usually when a bearing goes bad there is also wear on the components inside, so the damage is already done. Usually grease will not solve it, and I do not recommend it, because it will come out of the alternator and into the belts. Grease, oil and belts dont mix ;-)

You probably stripped the nut because WD40 is a lubricant, not a
penetrating fluid, and it wouldn't be used for removal of stubborn screws.
You should have tried PB Blaster or Seafoam, and give it a long time to
work (maybe hours), not a few moments, as implied in your video.

next time you have to get the pulley loose try sumting like this to hold
the pulley itself

it might work , its originally to turn stubborn oilfilters best way still is using a pneumatic tool you might be better off making a small blocking tool you can bolt onloo the block to hold the flexplate / flywheel starterring while trying to loosen it //ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/217aV%2BNi2rL.jpg

Excellent tip! Do you think it may work on holding a crankshaft pulley or do I need something stronger? I am removing the crankshaft pulley from the 4A-FE engine I just removed to put in the 4AGE Blacktop and I will be migrating all the anciliaries so I need to exchange the crankshaft pulleys... Thank you!
