my grandma had a 2001 honda civic. it was a good car. but one day when a
teenager (of course) acted like an idiot and rear-ended her. for some
reason the airbags failed.

you realize that airbags dont deploy in read end collisions right? They wouldnt do you any good if you were the one being rear ended anyway.

i just noticed something unsafe about this car. when the civic makes the
impact, something in the back seat hits the back of the passenger seat.
this is why i find this car unsafe.

No that was the rear folding seat. The lock prob broke free causing the seat to fold down. Nothing hit the front seat. Hondas are good cars. Your a moron

The rear seats fold, I would assume when installing all their equipment someone didn't latch the seat back, back into place. This should not be a deeming factor into that kind of decision. If the seat, in it's whole, was ejected from the vehicle then It should be deemed unsafe. These cars are some of the safest economy cars on the market. As much as it sucks to say.
