hello, I've got an Yeti with 0 - 9 numbers - 5 digits lock
at first it look just like yours, but when I try your method it just
doesn't work, all the buttons go down easily...
any idea? many thanks in advanced.
No not really. I've never tried a Yeti. But I've tried some other ones. They have all opened with this technique. Try hard tension on the release button. If they lock up then, it's all a matter of balancing the right tension. Not to hard, not to light.. It takes a bit of practice. If your lock is slightly different. It might retail slightly different technique. Finding the right method for a new lock is quite fun. Good lock with your lock.N

black skeleton keys that hold in a black suitcase. But that was not a great
price of $ 100 max.
Please help me. you have subscribe. :-D
I don't understand one thing. I always see in the picklock videos the pins
and the keys are like this:
//upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/6e/Pin_tumbler_with_key.svg/1229px-Pin_tumbler_with_key.svg.png
But in the doors I always see the pins reversed and you put the key inside
with the saws looking down.
How is people suposed to open that with picklocks?
I don't know if my explanation was good.
+doctorflipy It really doesnt matter which way the lock is oriented. The pins have springs that will give you the necessary feedback no matter the orientation of the lock. A lock will pick the same, no matter if its upside down, or right-side up. Hope this answers your question.
Great work Bill. Good to see you back in action. Any reason why that
circular part where the shackle comes out from looks shiner then the rest
of the lock? Different metal?

Corbin Cabinet Lock Co. made some very cool locks back in the day and seem to have been big suppliers of locks to the US military around the World Wars.

Pancake Push Key Padlocks: Picking & Decoding - Part 1/3
This is the first video in my series on Pancake Push Key Padlocks: Picking & Decoding, were I will show you all of the tools and method needed to successfully ...
+Papa Gleb 100 years of life and look great, I fear that many of the locks that are made now, not exactly cheap, will not have that aspect within a century. Its design is very good, is not easy to attack a disc-shaped body and an arc is hidden by the chain. Moreover they are not easy to pick. Aesthetically they are very nice. From what I have seen are rare in Europe, but there is no rush, no fall sooner or later;-)))
+Tallan Pick Thanks again. These locks are very interesting and a great piece of lock history. It's crazy to think how secure they are considering their age
Please do not miss half. I did not know these locks, and after seeing your tutorial, I'm looking for them on ebay. Very interesting, very beautiful locks, and your video... simply perfect . Congratulations, I know them takes lot of work.Thank you very much for your work and your time.Happy picking mate!
Haha yea I had to because the champion and newer yale weren't giving up to your tool/method. I'm just lucky the information is readily available or I would have been stuck, probably :)
Slowly but surely. These locks are a bit rare especially in good working condition. Thanks for watching.
Pancake Push Key Padlocks: Picking & Decoding - Part 2/3

Fantastic! I started to make a tool based on your with the 18ga strip nails. I don't have the tension correct yet, but I can see that it will work. I hope to make a key for it from the tool once I get it working and opened. Good luck, sir, and I will keep an eye out. Cheers!
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sorry for the delay w. Part 3. Life mixed with wild shipping stories caused me to put YouTube in the back seat but I'm hopeful in the very near future I'll have a chance to finish this series as well as share those stories.
Hey Dark, sorry for delay in my reply but I only seen your comment now. Don't know anyone selling pancake locks on KP but I got all of mine from eBay. I always ask a seller 2 questions: 1 does the shackle spring back up after being depressed or it is free floating and 2 looking into the keyway are all the levers equally lined up and stay at the same place or do they freely move. These 2 questions let me know the internal condition of the springs which are the only parts of the lock that break. You might also want to buy only from seller who accept returns. As for blanks, I make mine but you can purchase ready blanks as well.
First, you have a great speaking voice. You kept my attention. It shows you
know what you are talking about. You sound extremely relaxed. I appreciate
your video and the comments. Thanks for the education and the way you
approached the problem with your tools. Lauren.
Keep good care of the 4 lever. Iv been looking and trying to get me something aside from the standard 6 lever but it's hard to find one in good condition and that won't cost an arm plus shipping lol.
[18] "So Good" U-Lock with Triple Prong Key!
Here I demo another really clever U-Lock that uses a 3 prong push key. Each prong has 2 cuts, for a total of 6 interacting cuts. The Lock itself weighs about 1.1 ...
It's Solid, so you have to manually pull out the shackle. There is a spring loaded button there, but that is simply to help to help "eject" the keys and prevent the locking dog from moving. If someone were to try to shim this lock it would not work.
