Hello I've been following you for quite a while I own a 2004 Nissan altima
and I am desperate for help I have a P1273 code, I replaced the Af sensor 1
bank 1 and the mass air flow sensor and even had a mechanic weld the
exauhst leak but the code still pops up even after clearing it with the
machine and removing the battery, my mechanic also said i have a crack on
my catalytic converter. Do you think that would trigger the P1273? Please
reply thank you
Thanks, I got the mower to turn on a few times using your method. Is there
a fluid I can pour down fuel tank? I have a new mower but have not used in
years.
I have the same 700 series. The thing will not start. Fresh gas, flushed
and drained tank. New fuel line to the carb. Cleaned the bowl out.
Cleaned up the magnetic point. Cleaned the new spark plug just to be
sure. Nothing. Not sure what to try next.
+Andrew Hilburn I would check the price of both, just get the new carb if they are even close (which most times is the case)... You are talking to a guy who DOES small engine repair. And I love it. :)
+Andrew Hilburn I would bet it is still the carb... Could you try spraying into the carb to keep it running? Or have someone else try with you? I am thinking just you should just buy a new carb. Have you used gas with ethanol? I say buy a new one but if you can find a cheap rebuild kit I would do that first... Unfortunately most times a new carb is about the same price as a rebuild kit.
I recently tore down my mowers carb and cleaned it all up. I found the
problems that have been plaguing me for 2 seasons. One was a sticking float
bowl. I cant count how many times I pulled the bowl to clean the needle and
seat - never stuck when I was servicing it - duh! And the other problem was
gunk in the tiny holes of the bolt that holds the bowl up onto the carb.
Now that thing runs like a champ!
