This the phenomenal waste of resources that is public prosecution and jury trial for an open-and-shut case of mental health care problems. It's not a "traffic" incident. I think a life sentence is in order, given the unlimited and indiscriminate murders she attempted, but precedent is there and this need not be a complex trial. Unless the defense attorney is will to go out on a limb and argue a case of prescription drug interactions administered by professional or some exceptional extenuating circumstances (and if he failed to make his case, he'd be swiftly behind bars, too.) She's clearly incompetent, a risk to her child and the public, and need not be a public spectacle. Hopefully she receives whatever medical attention might remedy her problems. Whatever else happens, she goes behind bars till she is either recovered and has paid time for the lives she ruined, or for the rest of her life.
