A Must See! Trains from 1997-2006 Part 1
I took all these when I was smaller. I scanned them all this summer straight out of my albums. Many rare and now non existent engines are shown. Also shown ...
Nice pics! I notice that you have many shots from what i believe is Buckeye
Yard in or around Columbus, do you have any recent shots of that yard from
an overpass or even from the ground? Last i knew it was basically closed
and used as a storage yard for NS. I would just like to see what it looks
like today. Thanks for sharing these! Can't wait for part 2!
@Ohiorailfan Oh, ok sweet! Thanks. Ever since NS used the Buffalo Junction
Yard for storage (up until '09) i've had an interest in rolling stock
basically and i think a tank car that says NS on it as well as a plow use
to be in Buf Jct Yard but now i think it's stored in Buckeye yard.
@Ohiorailfan Yeah i figured most of the engines were gone but i wasn't sure
about the rolling stock. Any chance you go back there sometime this year
and take a few pics of the yard? Thanks for sending the video by the way!
CP 5952 and 5959 work train with track pulled from Chalk River Sub, Carleton Place, September 2011

GTW 5942 crosses Chevrier Blvd. southbound in Winnipeg, Manitoba
0:59 - 1:30 This planet is full of idiots. CN 532 with GTW 5942 as the lead unit. Engine info: GTW 5942 - SD40-3 CN 5284 - SD40-2W.
I was ready to continue on, when the bell rung, so I got the camera out, as CN 7243 passed Portage Junction. This crossing has not seen vehicles (legally) cross ...
From what it looks like in this video, it is just a pedestrian crosswalk. We have something like this in Woodstock, where a street used to go through, and the routing of traffic changed, and now it is just a pedestrian railway crossing.
Why the road was abandoned? Possibly it was connected to a street called Argue Ave, which now has a loop, but when Pembina Hwy (behind the camera) was created, they decided destroy the connection, because they didn't need it. That's my guess.
