Volvo is a Swedish car brand not German. They make the safest car in the
world, and recently making their vehicles more attractive yet in a simple
layout.
+phatchunk99 I agree its not right that chinas conditions are the way they are, but that doesnt mean volvo has stopped innovating, or making quality progressive vehicals
This is miles better than the old, boring, dull but nice to drive BMW 5
series and is also miles better than the Audi A6. It's only real competitor
right now, is the Mercedes E class
the one thing that sells me on a Mercedes Benz, particularly the new E class and the S class couple and sedan is the sound system, the they present there sound system, is beautiful.
I think the CTS is very close to Mercedes levels. Fit and finish is exceptional, it feels super sturdy. They just need higher quality feeling buttons and switches, some more room in the back, and a better infotainment system. Cadillacs main problem is their reputation and image. People still think Cadillacs are junk and drive like boats. I love the CTS, but my mind is just telling me that the Jaguar XF is slightly better.
i rather have a Cadillac ATS over a BMW 3 series. i rather have a CTS over a 5 series, but the new CT6 and the new 7 series, is a love hate situation for me.
Well, the Escalade and other SUVs are really only selling because of the SUV craze. That's why the SUV market is expanding whereas the passenger car market is losing sales.
+ChooChooTrain02 and a range rover is similarily priced to an escalade, similar reliability but , mpg, looks, pristige, power, ride, handling, refinement, features, capability, passion, leather, wood, metals, buying experience, everything goes to the british vehical, THE BRITISH!!
+ChooChooTrain02 also me being young, I can say that u cant mention them in the same sentence because cadilac drivers are laughed at, because it doesnt know what it is
+ChooChooTrain02 bmw was never really about fun to drive, it was about performance. I just dont think you make a point because germans do quality and current cadilacs have shown that they fall apart, also people arnt buying cadilacs other then the escalade, my mom has a lincoln navagator L and we test drove the new escalade and its terrible, when you look past the pretty face
+aaron Barkus I know BMWs aren't soulful anymore. Have you seen the current 5-series? BMW has seriously unlearned how to make a fun car, and made an overweight lump that handles like a 90s Cadillac. Numb steering, unresponsive throttle and brakes, and the chassis, ugh.
Overpriced? Compared to what? The German competition costs thousands more comparably equipped. Cadillac isn't the best, but they have gotten to the point where you can actually mention Cadillac and any of the Germans in the same sentence. They're not the most luxurious nor the most fun to drive. I'm just trying to say how much they have improved.
+ChooChooTrain02 bmw isnt a soulful drive either, honestly rent a fiat or an alfa and you will see why cadillacs simply are so boring, and terrible. cadilac makes cars that are great to sit in and great to look at, but every new modle they make, has a hard ride, unrefined power terrain, electronic steering, terrible reliability, slow dumb gear boxes, and an extreamly over priced sticker
And I don't mean fun to drive as in fast. I mean that it feels like a drivers car, as in they handle well and make you feel connected with the car, like you are the one in control. Is a Dodge Hellcat fast? Yes. Can you call it a drivers car? No. I'm saying that Cadillacs are not fun because they're fast. I'm saying that they are great to drive because you can throw it around corners like a sports car and feel rewarded. BMWs are fast, they handle well, but it just doesn't feel as raw and sporty as they once have.
+ChooChooTrain02 lets just start with ur statment about it being good to drive, just because its fast doesnt mean its a good drive, cadilacs have no soul or passion. Then fast sure they can be fast but when they are fast they ride like bricks and have a 0% comfort leval. and if you read the reviews on cadilacs lately, everyone says that they are only skin deep, let me know when you have driven a rolls royce and experience luxury and drive an alfa romeo and experience passion. (looking at reliability an alfa would probably be more reliable also)
Have you been living under a rock these years? Cadillac has been building cars more rewarding to drive than BMW, while still retaining the comfort, craftsmanship, and quality expected from a luxury car. Grow up and stop using your lame "it's trash because it's a _". This isn't the 80s.
+RKOAmbroseHDTM Cadillac CTS, and DO NOT say it's crappy because it's American.

I'm sure that you all know that the chinese automaker Geely bought Volvo
recently. People, don't freak out Volvo will still be made in Sweden and in
Belgium and have its own board of directors so it will be Volvo's own
thinking. And Geely will only be reciving parts and technologes from Volvo,
not the other way around.
@brandon671 Merc's system is irrelevant here. It needs cruise control to be
activated. In any case, yes MB might have been first to offer it on
production models, but just about every manufacturer has a version of it
now. City safety is different in that cruise control is NOT activated for
it to work. Once city safety is on, the driver still has full control of,
and responsibility for the throttle input. The system works by overriding
that input when a potential collision is detected.
Yea... FYI, Jap cars are not crap nowadays... Have a taste on Chinese made
cars... and you will know what I mean... It's like driving in
wheelbarrow... lol... Nothing outside, nothing inside...
Understood. but they used the same concept but on lower speeds to make it
their own. dont get me wrong. Volvo's are great cars, i would chose one of
these over a toyota or hyundai.
Go volvo! Volvo's are very nice, it just makes me mad that other car
companies copy their ideas, this will probably eventually be on some acura
or something.
