I drive a small truck, no markings, and the customers have to be referred
to me just because your small and did not go into debt for a large fancy
vehicle does not mean your running a scam, nor does the fact you charge
more or less imply a scam
I didn't go into debt when I bought my truck either, I paid cash for it. If your not advertising and just working off referrals then your probably not scamming people.
not true about all commission workers. Stuff sells itself if you have a
busy company you work for, i would never sell anyone anything i don't think
they need.
Today my best friend had a repairman out to her house to address why her
air handler wasn't working. He told her that there was a voltage problem
and her circuit board would have to be replaced. She gave the go ahead and
he replaced it and then collected his check. When I came over to visit, I
noticed that he left the old circuit board in a box so I picked it up and
noticed it had a fuse in it. After pulling out the fuse, I tested it and
verified it was blown. There is no damage present on the circuit board. Was
she bamboozled? It sure sounds like it to me.
Here's what I would do. Call the company back and explain that the old board looks like it just has a blown fuse and would they send someone else out to reinstall the board and test it with a new fuse. If nothing worked on the system before he changed the board then it sounds like a blown fuse. In turn if something worked on the system when she called for a repair then it wasn't just a blown fuse and most likely the board. Good luck
Oh yeah, your such an honest self righteous person. BS! I'm supposed to
believe you'd tell the homeowner that your company set them up for a repair
call. BTW I sure hope you work faster than you talk.
I just had the One HOUR company come out and they charged $ 89 for a service call and the service man found a bad capacitor in 5 minuets. They then charged another $ 369 for that capacitor. I don't know how much they paid for the capacitor, but I ordered one like it for less than $ 20 including shipping so I will have it if it goes out again. I did have him to clean the coils as they had not been cleaned and I wanted to see how he did that. Total bill was $ 557. I think the coil cleaning and what he called a tune up for $ 100 extra was the best deal. The service man did give me a good education on on the system. I knew a little about the refrigeration system in general from my work at a large plant as an electrician and instrumentation mechanic but did not have any parts or special tools and it was a Saturday morning. They seem to use a flat rate for the repairs as he explained and showed me on the bill there are 5 levels of repair and they list what they are, but do not have the prices on the bill. The capacitor was level 2. I would hate to see the higher level prices.
+Leon Glassglow If you watch some of his vids you will see he's a really good tech and makes his living by his REPUTATION, that is person A tells person B that they got their unit repaired correctly at a fair price. I've heard of tech's charging $250 to install a start/run cap or a $20 start booster for $300.
@Leon Glassglow - Hey Leon.... A quick glance at your YouTube channel leads me to believe that you are also part of the HVAC industry as well. What a coincidence!! So, do you also serve the greater Atlanta area just like T&N in this video? I was just curious. Because immediately after reading your comment I mistakenly assumed that you were of a mature enough age to bring some sort of knowledge and/or substance to this video/conversation. Unfortunately I was wrong. All you could manage to bring to the table was your disgruntled attitude towards a fellow employee that shares the same responsibilities and customer expectations.SO LEON... If you want to do your job half assed and screw your customers by lying and sucking them dry, go right ahead. We will be contacting T&N for the initial purchase, installment, & all future maintenance.
+T&N Services LLC. Your doing the right thing, don't let the trolls BS you. I've watched quite a few of your highly informational videos on HVAC repair and your a true honest American businessmen. (Rare)
Hey Leon your exactly right, I don't have a problem telling a homeowner the guy before tried to screw them even if I worked for that company. If you were getting screwed wouldn't you want to know?
