It's very inconvenient to clean. And cleaning it needs! Even when you carry
only water in it. Calcium from the water sediments inside - you need to use
some vinegar to dissolve it and even after that an acces for a handy tool
would be nice. I don't want to think what would the inside look like if I
had used it for something else than just water. Gunk can be brushed off,
but you need and acces for that anyway, and it is poor with that
bottleneck. Big opening is better for a reusable bottle.
I use a water bottle, It's a cheap plastic one though (BPA free). I might
get a nice looking one though instead of my plain one. Be a bit more
interesting to have beside me when I'm studying or whatever. That stuff
about the birds was horrible, I didn't know about that. Brita Filters did a
great set of anti-plastic bottle photos (google image "brita ad"). Despite
Brita's intentions of using it to earn some more cash it sends out a
powerful message about the use of plastic bottles.
Two flaws: 1. Annoying thing with Sigg bottles is the threaded cap -
because of it's shape it sucks up some water every time you twist it to
open! Almost every time you end up with some water spilling from the cap
thread in the moment of opening... dropping on your...wahtever you have
beneath (desk, clothes, papers...) making the bottle wet on the outside and
having you worrying about where to put it down safely and not wet anything
from it. 2. In the next comment...
@KBerryful actually, if you add it up you spend more on water bottles. The
stainless steel water bottle is less expensive because it will last you for
years. For example, you buy 1 bottle of poland spring for $1.25, imagine if
you brought poland bring for seven days in 1 month. That would cost u $30 a
month, for 12 months and if u brought it from grocery store it would cost u
hundreds verse the stainless steel bottle which you will buy once
Many bottles are also made of PET/PETE plastic, which is a by product of
oil production, and it will leech harmful chemicals into the water. Bottle
water all around is a rip off it only costs about $0.11 or $0.12 to bottle
it, while you can easily pay $6 for a gallon. Plus many bottle water is
nothing more than tap water and companies that bottle water are not held to
the same testing standards that tap water is.
I have a Nalgene plastic bottle that do not contain BPA, it takes less not
more resurges to make a plastic bottle then one made of Al. When my Nalgene
retches end of life, I can toss it in the bin and it will be burned of in
an incinerator plant to make heat and hot water.
I hate when I can't find bigger than 1L size bottle of FIJI water at the
store to fill my water bottle everytime, there should be a fountain
everywhere where you can just fill your water bottle instead of the plastic
jugs you buy from store!
@fcgetmoney if it's the stainless steel bottle then yes! Here's what they
say on their site: "SIGG bottles can be safely stored in the refrigerator,
but are not suitable for cooking, freezing, microwaves, ovens, and
dishwashers."
@KBerryful if u keep on buying cases of plastic bottles and using them it
will most likely add up to be a lot of money. After a few months a
reuseable bottle will pretty much be paying for itself!
Is there a way you can fill these with drinkable water that is not from
plastic bottle or tap. (i live in a place where our tap water smells like
fish and we dont trust it)
What about this: Cut the "buy" stuff and > Reduce consumption, Reuse what
you already bought, Recycle what you can't reuse into some other usage
items. Cheers.

good vid.,like the days of NOAH,all humans, animals, birds and fish were
corrupted.(dna?)thoughts continually on evil.but they were eating
,drinking, taking in marriage as all is normal until the flood came.why were
only the corrupt left(NOAH being the only one that wasnt.)because they had
killed those that didnt comply.YESHUA said the end days will be like the
days of NOAH.people in those days knew about chemical manipulation and had
affected all life forms.so satanic our FATHER destroyed it all.
I am quite "aware" of the poisonous affects of Plastics alone by THE FATHER
who gives I thought. So, this cements my thoughts on wearing GLOVES alot
more now. I am not related nor a fan of Howard Hughes, but I DO know that
even teachers who wear rubber gloves while grading and reading homework
papers do NOT catch the common cold that runs rampant, and my wiping down
counters with peroxide or bleach kept my family healthy and cold/flu free
:) Great video with tons of great info! Bless.
