the time you are spending with your child. my husband is still in denial
about our sons autism and spends no time with him and doesnt do any of
this.. a few times called him stupid and whips him because he thinks he is
just acting up
No I'm not, but I am Friends with him and he is a pretty amazing guy. His daughter has been on our programme for 3 years and she has come on a lot more since this video was taken. Denial can be a very powerful thing. With my own son, Daniel, who had cerebral palsy, it took me 14 months to accept that there was a problem even though his problems were staring me in the face. You have to give him time and space. He will come to a point of acceptance eventually. It's a process some of us have to go through.
