Of course, the only seeds which might be GMO (in the US) are corn, soybean, canola, cotton, alfalfa, and some kinds of squash. There are no GMO varieties available on anything else, so there's no need to check. I have to admit, it seems kind of silly to me to put a non-GMO verified label on a product for which there are no GMO varieties. It's kind of like putting a cholesterol-free label on a bunch of carrots.

I didn't think USDA Organic had anything to do with GMO. Where did I go wrong? I thought it only had to do with how the plant is grown and to what it is exposed. How does either certification say they're not hybrid. BTW hybrid is fine for one year's use, just not for seed saving for future years.

First Thank's for the information. I was able to sort through the info and voice my objections all in just a few minutes. It's folk's like you that give me hope that we can make it through the tough times that are surely headed our way. The other gentleman raised a valid question as to why we haven't taken back our government. Good question,simple answer. Our lawmakers are bought and paid for by big corporations. I'm sorry. What did you say? I wasn't listening as Dancing With The Stars was on and that is way more important than GMO and toxic foods. You mean some type of sheepfold attitude like that? Unfortunately my representative will not receive messages unless they are sent through a form on his website. So, I sent an email requesting a response. The good news is that the Alliance for for Natural Health will also be hand delivering emails to my representative. So he will receive double from me! Now...on to share with family and friends. sadly they will do this over and over until they get what they want... that said, i will sign yet another petition... i must also say i think we need to be tuned into nanotech... while we are focusing on gmo nanotech is marching forward... and precious few are talking about it... growing as much as you can is key... i know you know that... :-)

i love how you show that you clean up the spot and return the needles. i have always done leave no trace or leave it better then when you got there. i live in Michigan and i camp along the lake all the time and garbage will wash up on the shore. i keep a reusable shopping bag i got for a dollar. i will wash the bag when i get home and reuse it next time...

farm are not GMO could be contaminated by the neighbors farms that actually have GMO. these things can spread by winds
