you dont have to use the select tool to drag the image to another document. you can just right click the layer in your layers panel, select duplicate layer, then select the duplicated layer in your layers panel and drag it to the other document. much easier imo. also instead of adjusting the opacity to the card zone layer, try andjusting the blending mode options. screen or overlay are usually the best options but try and mess around with the other options to see what you like best.

Thank you so much, ive been thinking of making of ways to make a playmat for the local tournaments and now i know how to do it. Im an intermediate photoshop user but i got the photoshop bible so its gonna finally get put to use lol. anyways now i can make a Naturia Exterio playmat with a Naturia Pumkin and bean at the corners XD i even thought id have to get a reg playmat and just glue the designs on it >.

Just wondering if you know what type of printer is used? I haven't been able to find a printer or transfer paper to match the size of a playmat. The largest transfer paper i could find was 11" x 17" and the printers that can rint images large enough are extremely expensive, and I really dont want to end up with the wrong one.

Well... there's 2 problems. 1.- The card zones are too near each other. There's no space for a defence monster. 2.- How can I get more space so the card zones are exactly the space I need? Thanks.

to keep the same dimensions when your resizing an image just hold down shift while dragging the corner and it wont stretch or skew it :D

If you press shift it proportions the image so it dosnt get pexilated and the blow up size is even

@kazenokoe80 Well printing is $25 (per mat) plus postage (postage is $10 in the US and $12 International for up to two mats). It's pretty decent considering the quality of the mat, the fast shipping and that most official mats (apart from the Gold Series ones) are like $35 or more. If you are asking about the commission then it varies. I went to a few artists on deviantart and the price ranged from $25-$95 but you could probably get it cheaper if it was a simpler design (mine has 5 monsters).

If u hav no shops around ur place then u gonna hav to either make ur own outta some kind of mouse pad material or buy one online.

Play mats can be bought at like comic stores or find dem online, da description has a link for buying mats online. U can get carbon paper at any art supply store, try Michaels or Walmart.

i do this stuff for a living i work for my own company called decal by design kc, and its a good way to make a mat, but he is using to many extra steps and extra expensive for no reason, instead of poster board or whever it was i watched it mute, and spray adhesive, just use vynal, it can be manipulated way easier and it already has its own adhesive stick side, for only 12 bucks a 15 ft roll online

another resson you dont go gloss or anything thats like eggshell is becouse you wouldnt be able to let it dry before pulling it up...it would try n pull up the painted mat sections to...so all n all great work bro, kudos

honestly its not that hard ive done the exact same think before (though not for a yu gi oh mat) multiple times its as easy as tracing once you finish tthe photoshopping which can be learned in an hour or so of practice
