This is one awesome technique for throwing a cast net or as it is mentioned a bucket net. Being left handed always presents a problem in trying to duplicate the technique being used. Could this technique be applied to a regular 7 ft radius casting net. Would really love to learn this method.. I did not get to see how you put the part of the net that is on the left arm elbow? Thanks for the video.

thats a bucket net, the material is very thin which is why it can put the whole net on one hand, and its light weight. AKA spanish bucket net, shirmp net. we don't use this in america because these type of net scrape the bottom of the sea, so imagine using this at the piers with rocks in bottom or caught any average size fishes will tare this net up.

Thank you for your comment. The fisherman uses this net in shallows. I think about... around 2 meters of depth of the water. There are parts that are difficult to understand. There's no reason to have someone who can't properly pronounce some of the script because they are untrained in a foreign language. All announcers in Japan have pronunciation guidelines and need to be able to pass a test before they can get the job. You think this announcer could get a job in America or for NHK in Japan?
