Indonesia has granted a Chinese-led consortium the right to build the country's first high-speed railway line - angering Japan which had launched a rival bid.
China, Indonesia sign $5.5 billion high-speed rail deal
Chinese and Indonesian state-owned companies on Friday signed a 5.5 billion-USD deal to build the first high-speed railway in Southeast Asia's top economy, ...
+azam skyline Minimum speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) on lines specially built for high speed and of order 200 km/h (124 mph) on existing lines which have been specially upgraded. This must apply to at least one section of the line. Rolling stock must have a minimum speed of at least 200 km/h (124 mph) to be considered high speed. I got this from wikipedia , wake up please.
+azam skyline lah apasih ? even US still use a Diesel locomotive . and you know what 160km/h is not a high speed train . yiu better go back to school and read more.
Tapi yakinlah, kami pun sedang berlari mengejar ketertinggalan. Salah satunya dengan membina HST ini.
+Lekurishkun .. Malaysia sekarang pun sudah ada Electric Train Service(ETS) or KTM ETS 93... Indonesia sekarang masih lagi mengunakan kereta api diesel.. wake up Indonesia jangan slow dalam kemajuan..
+azam skyline AFAIK Malaysia already have that KTM Tilting Train which has speed around 160 km/h. That is not categorized as "HSR" yet. For Indonesian rolling stocks, we and china agree to use CRH380A which has average speed about 350 km/h, maximum speed 486.1 km in testing, and maximum operation speed at 380 km/h. But at first the train will only give 200 km/h, and than will be increased later if the system already tested and considerated safe to run at more speed.
(kereta api laju Malaysia-Singapura 2020 dengan berkelajuan 350 to 450km/h)
+azam skyline I heard Malaysian PM made a statement that he will build a HST Malaysia to SGP and will finish in 2020 (If there's no problem), but Indonesia completed early in 2019, so Indonesia can say HST Jakarta-Bandung is the first in ASEAN.
+Lekurishkun Malaysia already have high-speed rail today with full speed 180 or 190km/h ... Malaysia will later make another high-speed train between Malaysia - Singapore with speed of 350 to 450km/h
+bimba- lola KL - Singapore planned first, unfortunately there is no any further information to build it soon. Indonesia already did groundbreaking today on 21st of January, and planned to be completed in early 2019.
i been waighting for someone to buy into the japanses hispeed rail. china
is impressive ass fas as the network but noone makes better high speed
trains than japan. this is a win win for both sides; for india ur getting
the best highsped trains in the world and for japan your getting the
largest consumer market in the world if india desides to go all in on
hispeed rail like china (and they should)
Irrespective of whom ever is chosen for high speed train projects in India,
it should never be China. They will certainly use their profits made in
India's infrastructure to fund pakistani terrorism against India.
Unfortunately for us the decision relies with the weakest and the most
cowardly pussies on the planet i.e. Indian politicians.
