as a nurse I can't believe this "doctor" said acetaminophen and ibuprofen
are the same thing... nothing but TV bullshit and fear mongering. but the
point is valid, u have to know what you're doing
+Elizabeth Jeffers It's not fear mongering, but saying what he said is idiotic. There is a chance of liver poisoning. I've heard this jackass make other idiotic statements. I can even watch that ridiculous show.
I'm very concerned and worried about the ingesting of essential oils. This
is actually recommended and promoted by some people. Well, this is some
pertinent information I came across while researching the matter
online:-----
Jennie Harding BA, TIDHA, MIPTI, HNC is a highly respected aromatherapist
and lecturer who has written books on topics ranging from essential oils,
herbs, and crystals to chakra healing, stress management and natural
beauty. She has been teaching and lecturing on aromatherapy in the UK and
internationally for the past 20 years and currently works for Tisserand as
resident aromatherapy expert, Head of the Tisserand Academy and Product
Technical Adviser. Author of The Essential Oils Handbook. She says:---
"don't ever swallow essential oils" (page 23)
"In the refrigerator: Once opened, citrus oils (Orange, Lemon, Lime,
Mandarin, Tangerine and Bergamot) and Tea Tree will last for one year. All
other essential oils will last for two years from opening.
"At cool room temperature (10c/55f): Once opened, citrus oils and Tea Tree
will last for six months; all other essential oils will last for one year."
I hope this is helpful to the reader.
+Loving Life There are 2 different schools of thought regarding essential oils. In the UK, they do not recommend ingesting because the testing done with oils was done using perfume grade oils, or chemically altered oils. The French school of thought regarding essential oils is that they are safe to ingest when they are pure, and not chemically treated or altered. They are a wonderful support to all the body systems.
