A quick test ride of the 2013 Honda CB500X. I give you my first impressions of it and let you know how it compares to my current bike, the 2008 Suzuki V-Strom ...
Ah, it's interesting to see this video from your perspective. Wait, isn't
this the part when you find the mystical chair of destiny? And didn't that
chair disappear? Too bad.
The last 3rd of your videos really feels like reading one of those books
from the perspective of a different character like Wuthering Heights vs.
Emma.
They're a pair of classic novels written by different authors in the late 19th century. They tell the same story from different perspectives. Basically "Emma" is fanfic for "Wuthuring Heights", by someone who really liked the best friend of the main character.
+Adventures in Real Life No. This was on the return journey on the Cranky Adventure Tour. The chair was in a totally different area. I have no idea what you mean by the Wuthering Heights vs. Emma reference. I am an uneducated buffoon.
lol, that ending loop :-) I reckon the brakes feel a bit better because of
the weight difference, not sure, but maybe my model with ABS might feel
about the same as +CaptainCranky 's bike??? Interesting about the wind
shield, I always wondered what other bikes are like compared to the
strom..... after a small hiccup with a fence I will have to get a new one
soon :-( so will get the good touring one LOL yep there is a silver
lining!!!! So happy that the adventure you guys had just keeps on giving,
almost like a really bad ST Kilda Road walker.... LOL just not as scratchy
in the morning :-) But damn it's fun while its going!!!! LOL
+Andy Pandy MotovlogsI did a similar thing after my bike had been stored at work for a few weeks due to heavy rains. Instead of moving pallets I decided to try and move my bike out of it's tight resting spot while walking it on the right instead of the left. When it came time to balance it and get to the stand on the other side of the bike, it went over against a wall and scratched the screen. It did bend a fair way!Yep Fitzroy Street is what I was thinking you meant. The adjacent St Kilda Road is a bit too wide a thoroughfare for street walkers. Plus the head offices of Victoria Police are now located there! lol
no footage, nothing crazy, she fell over because we had a smashing downpour and all the rain made the ground soft where I parked her. She toppled into a cyclone wire fence and scratched the top part of the screen. On a side note, you can rest assured that the screen bends to a sharp 90 degrees without breaking :-) I was a bit gob smacked by that!! I was going to say Fitzroy Street, that place had many more walkers that St Kilda but less known............ ummmm so I have heard (<.<) :-)
HaHa! The reference to a dirty St Kilda prostitute. Classic! You definitely grew up in Victoria!Small hiccup with a fence? I hope you got that on film?I have often thought about getting a touring screen or at the very least an extension for the standard one. It would take a lot of the wind buffeting away and make for better quality audio as well I guess.Yeah, every bike I have ridden with ABS feels super responsive compared to mine.
If I lived in the outback over there then with out a doubt I would be getting an adventure bike haha, here in the UK there really isn't that need. But it would be great for touring around Europe.
Yeah they are a great first bike for those that are maybe wanting something a little more adventure touring oriented than your typical sports bike oriented learner bike that most learners seem to get. Whilst it is not much of an adventure bike, it will handle the gravel roads and is a great tourer.
