@Z3CHYD I think it sounds alright, but the best sound I have heard so far
is with a Flowmaster super 44. Just something about that depth a flowmaster
gives to these cars.
Yeah got a '95 Brighton Legacy for $500... put a clutch in it and it blew
the clutch again around 5000 miles later. The input shaft on the trans was
crooked because of a failed internal bearing. Traded that for an '84 DL
coupe 2wd 5spd (to a friend who had the money for a new trans) with a
little rust... but it runs great and is fun to drive. I miss having an
AWD/4WD.
I just took the car to an exhaust shop and had them cut out the cats and
add a glasspack. These heads are the single exhaust port heads, but the
2.5s and earlier 2.2s (90-95) are dual exhaust port heads. It should be
fairly easy to find some performance oriented y-pipes on ebay. I actually
have a magnaflow style y-pipe for the dual port heads. BRAND NEW never used.
I'm not even sure about the size of the glass pack. The rest of the piping
is stock though. I put the downstream O2 sensor in a spark plug anti-fowler
but it keeps throwing the o2 sensor code. It has a new o2 sensor so I'm not
too worried about it.
fresh asphalt, just started raining, not paying attention and ended up
drifting right off a turn into a dropoff and landed on the passenger side
edge of the roof after a 5 ft. fall. Good thing there wasn't a passenger,
it was ugly.
98 subaru forester with resonater and second cat delete with a 2.25 straight pipe back cant decide too put glass pack on or not ....ps just testing the exhaust ...
There is seriously a late 90's Impreza a mile from my house with a cherry
bomb sticking out almost that bad. I drive by with my full header to
muffler, catless, stainless, Tsudo exhaust and shake my head in shame.
+Mr.Slamtastic Guttural I live in a town where people would rather drill holes in their mufflers to give it a louder sound than actually spend money on one. I know what you mean
+Don't Worry Nah man I'm not meaning to brag. I just bugs the crap out of me when people don't do stuff right. Yet won't give something done right a second glance. You know what I mean? Maybe it's just where my state is full of rednecks that don't appreciate Subaru's and just beat the crap out of them haha.
Yeah it's pretty bad. My civic with a header, no cat, and a Megan racing cat back sounds way better. But I honestly don't know how he made this car sound that bad. My 2.5 Impreza RS rumbled even without the unequal length header. Now full Tsudo exhaust people mistake it for a v8 sometimes these engines sound great if done right. I have videos of it up.
+MySteezyProductions i was gonna say if it was a fozzy... i'd throw bigger straight pipe so the that "snail" in your exhaust could breath... but N/A definitely a muffler... my Subaru guy here has a murdered out fozzy with a built 2.5 but i think it's a 2.7 stroker now.... oh and i forgout a pretty decent sized compound twin set up.... oh and a complete drive train swap out of. 2010 wrx sti i think
+MySteezyProductions hey man, speaking of a sti swap, i have a 1998 forrester L 2.5 Automatic. What sti swap would i do or what should i look for perhaps
What's up guys! We're back in the driveway today doing some car mods! The Angry Beaver just got an upgrade with a Glass Pack muffler. It is a controversial ...
the older subaru's (EJ251 ect) had UEL's from the factory, if you look
under at the exhaust manifold you can see about a 2" length difference in
the tubes
