""Visual modifications have to come first, it's a tuner car that's what
happens" don't pretend to know about cars when your only experience is
playing forza you dumbass
+Too Soon Junior Yes. Look up a normal Drift Missile. They have colours and parts from all over the place because they become damaged from accidents in Drifting. Please, don't take a video game so fucking seriously lmfao.
@BlackonWhiteChevy LOL... Yea i know about the valves now... but thanks
though... and its only 18 years old...Anyway i will/have been taking VERY
good care of it, im glad its in my hands not someone elses :) but it will
be fast one day... What you mean it will never be fast... :/ Next year (i
just got a job) ill be doing an RB20 swap, an as soon as i get the motor...
hks head gasket, ALL arp hardware, forged pistons, eagle rods, tomei cams,
new FMIC kit, bigger turbo, injectors, and a ecu tune!
I recently got a 89 240sx coupe. No Rust on the car besides the rear
bumper. It had a KA24DE swap and I pulled it and put in a well built
SR20DET in with a newer 5speed with a stage 3 racing clutch. For a person
that only has tried driving manual once, its been pretty interesting lol
this clutch is so grabby but I got the hand of it after a while. The
interior is trash, seats are ok. I replaced the drivers seat with a Buddy
Club seat and so far its been a joy :D Gotta get better tires tho...
@ChampChewie I have a little bit of fun, here and there... but i do want to
get more, and more into drifting! Practice makes perfect... need some
suspension work done, and put my welded diff in my 240... right now its
just sitting in my garage. But ill only have the welded diff in for a
little while, just to get used to 2 wheels locked... then ill get a VLSD,
and eventually upgrade to a 2 way lsd. But all thats aside now that i got
my licence suspended. After i get it back, shit will happen!
@240sxGuy3 ya man i here ya, but i drove the SOHC shaft and it sounds a lot
throatier, looks nicer and can outrace my DOHC shaft anyday. but i have
considered rebuilding the engine. another thing i am considering, my dad
wants to buy one of my engines for a 78 mustang, the stock engine he has is
a crapy V8 with only close to 110 hourspower im pretty sure. with my DOHC
its much lighter and faster, he would love it. but basically i have
considered everything you've mentioned.
Hey man im not mad! But this is not a cheap ebay one... its actually a
pretty nice ebay exhaust... there are a lot that suck really bad... this
one is an older one thats the exact knockoff of the apexi n1... Appreciate
the help, its jus im sick of haters on here who are always pointing out the
minor flaws on my car... shit gets annyong... sorry for the sacracam! But
this exhaust breaths really well... i noticed a good difference in throttle
responce when it was installed!
@rikirikon Neither... its the timing chain rattle... all the ka24des have
this or will experience this sometime in their lives. Nissan put 2
unnecessary guides that the chain hits, when your chain gets stretched over
time. It wont hurt anything to remove the guides. But if your timing chain
itself has over 75,000 miles its best to change it anyway, because your
chain could get/be too stretched. If thats the case, you could jump time,
and really fuck up some shit!
@upnow99 So you are swapping a DOHC KA, for the SOHC KA???? Thats not worth
it dude! If your DOHC KA is still running.... whats wrong with it? I would
drive it til it dies... Run seafoam through it to clean out your engine,
and i would sell the SOHC swap. And when your DOHC KA dies... rebuild it
with like an ebay kit. The sohc is good and reliable, but the dohc has more
power, torque, and revs higher. Or save up and do a SR or RB swap!
@0penminded2u did you reply to the wrong person? i said the water has
nothing to do with the valves. Im not sure what you are trying to say, but
water is definitely a product of combustion, honda says anything up to a
liter is perfectly normal on their cars, sooooo. and FYI cylinder head
bolts should never have to be retorqued because they are torque to yield
bolts and are supposed to be used only once.
@myersprostatus I know. Thanks for the help. But i dont have the $550 now
to buy tokico struts, and tein springs, let alone the labor money to
install them. Now i cant afford coilovers, i know labor would be cheaper,
but $300 more than $550 is way to much for me. Whats the FC guy mean?? But
yea coilovers would be great, but this is my daily/parking lot fun car so i
dont need the stiffest suspension.
@240sxGuy3 I meant FC guy as in the rx7 guy you were talking to. Coilovers
are fully adjustable, whether thats how stiff you actually want to run
them, You can adjust the dampening(stiffness) and ride height. Coilovers
ride 10X better than shocks and springs. I guarentee youll be amazed at how
bouncy, stiff and uncomfortable lowering springs are. Just trying to help
you out on makin a badass 240
@240sxGuy3 Trust me, im just tryin to help you build a badass machine. For
only about 300 more dollars you can have a fully adjustable and 10x better
ride suspension system than a spring/strut setup. Its worth the extra cash
and youll thank me in the long run. Not many people know about this
company, but they are the SHIT!!! lol, if you want ill message you the
website. -mitch(the FC guy) lol
@240sxGuy3 I read ONLY important things. This is YouTUBE. I do do not want
to read your description. I do not care about your description. After your
reply I see where you typed 99%. In your video 4:33 is when you you start
to talk about that. YOUR DESCRIPTION DOES NOT MATCH WHAT YOU SAID IN THE
VIDEO. THEREFORE YOU MADE IT UP! Made up big bag of bullshit. Even 99% is
exaggerated probably.
@DAGSTERZ26 YOU ARE A PUSSY... I have a new RUST FREE hatch on my 240...
And if you bother reading my description (when this video was made and
uploaded) It says 99% rust free expect the spec on the hatch... SO if your
reading a comment i posted saying 100% rust free... OBVIOUSLY thats after
my new hatch was put on... So FUCK OFF little boy... How am i bullshitting?
I dont bullshit nobody!
Please dont rice it out, or do bullshit mods to it, or wreck it.... dont be
reckless. This is a RWD car so you need to know that you can easily loose
control of it. Take care of it if you get a 240! And honestly i wouldnt
look for one as in good condition as mine for your first car... chances are
you will wreck your first car and nobody wants to see you take out a really
nice 240.
I'm sure someone has said, but don't let your friend near the 240, H2O is a
product of combustion and definitely has NOTHING to do with adjustment of
your valves. Nice car, the previous owners did a nice job of not fucking it
up for the last 20 years, you should continue that, maybe a nice set of
rims, then either swap the engine or leave it stock, it will never be fast
anyway..
Hmm, so you say the car is 100% rust free. Except for the rust on your rear
hatch? I have watched a few of your videos, and you strike me as the kind
of individual that just says a bunch of bullshit, always has some made up
excuse. What the fuck man? Blame this, blame that. Make a video worth
watching. I know, i know, I have no videos. There is another excuse for
you. HAHAHA!
the water is just condensation from the exhaust. if you seafoam it make
sure you fix all of the oil leaks other wise it wil jusst cean out wherever
its leaking at and make it leak more. and if you buy an import car
especially from japan all the mods you do to it will be "rice". there is no
point of having a 240 if you dont want to mod it because you feel like its
"rice"
How to seafoam: Remove hose on brake booster that goes to the intake
manifold and poor seafoam down hose while car is on. once can of seafoam
has gone down, if car hasnt turned off yet then turn it off and let it sit
for 15 min. then turn on and drive hard(dont just rev like a noob) for
about 3 miles. Lots of smoke will come out. Hope it helps if u havent done
it yet.
@BlackonWhiteChevy And maybe a few more suspension mods... :P BUT it will
be fast.. im aiming for the 350 "WHP" range! For this light car... 350whp
is fast! AND the better the suspension is... the faster it is... and of
course before i do most of my suspension mods, ill have 300zx Brakes and 5
lug... then some XXR 526 cromium black wheels... Look those bad boys up!
Forza Horizon 2 : Nissan 240SX SE Drift Build (Un-locked)
Hey everyone. For those of you who play Forza Horizon 2 I have a nice little drift build for a Nissan 240 SX SE here. It's a lively little build and makes the car ...
+Fullmetal Supra its in an r34, the rb26dett r32's have rb25 which are legal in the us cause they are considered classic parts, the rb26dett is not legal for import and government reasons.
Alright! Right now I'm working on an Audi R8 full speed racing build and a Camaro ZL1 so I'll get to those next!
Forza Motorsport 6 - Nissan 240SX SE Drift Build!
Subscribe for more videos! //bit.ly/SubToTime More Forza Motorsport 6: //bit.ly/1gcnePc Today I'll be showing you guys a "drift build" for the Nissan ...
I just recently took this video a day after I finished rebuilding my 92' 240sx KA24DE engine with new: Pistons,all Rings,all Seals,all gaskets,all valve seals,all ...
Sadly,I'm a total noob to true Japanese performance. I got stuck in the
hondagarbage, but! now I'm trying to change.Im looking into getting a 92
240sx any ideas as to what I should look for when getting this car?Like,i
know for integras clutches liked to go often and the rear 1/4 panels liked
to rust. Those were always things to be aware of. For building my engine I
tried to keep it relatively cheap but get some power, like new
intake,header,catback,reflash,etc.What could I do similar with a 240?
@atlspeed this engine does not have lifters and the noise is probably not
the upper timing chain guide. the upper guide really only makes noise when
your chain and tensioner are in really bad shape. It is however, most
likely your lower right chain guide. they generally are the guide that
makes the noise and they are a little harder to get to but not a big issue.
Either way, yes it is normal for a ka to have that noise and it probably
wont go away completely until you replace the tensioner
Yes it has cat-back exhaust I did the rebuild myself, like hell if I'm
going to pay for labor as well as parts. It cost $600-$750 (i advise that
you buy the parts independently, not as a kit and watch from where you buy
it) I'm also aquiring parts to do a 5spd swap and i bought a bare head to
build up with JC cams or brian crower stage 2 cams, springs, valves,
retainers, shims, seats, etc However, I failed to financially prioritize my
projects.lol
Ok I think everyone would agree the stock motor in a 240sx s13 and 14 are
shit there's always a problem with them the best thing to to is that the
fucking motor destroy it the completely replace it with a rb25 or an
sr20det or anything that you'd choose to invest in I have a 240SX s14 I
blow the stock motor its now replaced with an rb25 motor its turboed and
completely modified and runs a million times better then it ever could
stock haha
I have a 92 240sx convertable. It only has 54k mile. Just started to skip
while driving likes it not running on all cylinders, also started to smoke
a little. It was stored for several years. I replaced cap, rotor, plugs,
wires, fuel injectors and fuel filter. All tests on the computer test good.
Ran a compression test and all test good. A local shop said the engine
needs rebuilding or replacing. I think thats BS.. Any advice
Real clean. I like how you cleaned up the harness by the blue wire
dressing. The noise you are referring to Id check your timing, your upper
timing chain tensioner pulley and the timing chain guides. I prefer to
check them anyways because even tho you dont hear it slapping those guides
doesnt mean its not loose. People remove them guides alot.
the noise your refering to are/is: Upper Timing chain guide, lifter tick
(Have to get to get check your shim clearance to see if its in spec), or if
your running forged pistons its just piston slap from not being warmed up
(it may never go away depending which brand you have).
I really want a 240, but I only want to spend like $4k for my first car.
I'd like an s14, but most of those are too expensive for how much I want to
spend now. I just don't like the look of the flip up headlights on the s13,
but that's probably what I'll end up getting =/
I have a Nissan 240sx SE coupe im also been wanting to make the swap i
always stare at my car with so many things i want to do to it that i dont
know how to start, not mentioning the money that im going to invert on it
... if i could only get $5000 bucks
I'm on the search for my 240sx se coupe. It was awesome!!! I got it in 1996
at a steal It was my graduation present. I still dream about my 240. It had
it all! Rain guards sunroof guard, HUD, charcoal interior, power
everything. Oh how I miss my baby.
Same here dude I got a 91 coupe that's being rebuilt it sat for 2yrs when I
found it Now I'm replacing old worn out parts, also want to swap it to a 5
speed but I want the sr20 tranny... I'll add a vid later.
@ mixedmartialartsbrzl yes, you gotta swap a couple of parts like the flex
plate to a actual fly wheel and a seal between the crank and flex plate and
mod some of you connectors that went to you auto trans..
Nice man! What parts did you use and from where? Brand name / no name? New
/ used? How's the motor been holding up? I've been wanting to do a rebuild
and if I can get it done for $750, I'd be fuckin' stoked.
