everything is almost done to get it running, except the tank and fuel gauge sending unit. sorry for the extra long video just kinda get a lil nervous xD please give ...
well i didnt crunch the numbers. but cause the weight of the big plastic
fan is alot on the ka is a good bit. if you want i could do a video on
takeing it off and showing how much it weighs? well anyways its like the
simple fact of it takes HP and torque to spin something. (example may not
be true) the motor has 155HP by the time it hits the fly wheel. by the time
it gets through the clutch, transmission, the drive shaft, the
differential, the rear axles. and the weight of the tires and rim
well in a sense yes. but the weight reduction takes stress off the motor.
and having 2 efficient cooling fans driven by a sensor and 1or 2 motors is
better. example. newer cars have electronic power steering. why? cause it
reduces a need for a pump and fluid. it takes more of a load off the engine
so it can put more power and effort into the trans and then to the road. as
far as cooler area for the engine does not matter. what matters is on the
inside of the engine.
@gizborne123 yeah well when me and my buddy were were running it from the
pig tale hole to the unit and then to a bolt on the car for a descent
ground, it was trying to read but it seamed faded and moved a few CM's so
maybe from where my signal is running to my ground was too far away? and if
i use the screw it will be a better signal? i don't understand electricity
very well, i mean i can understand the basics of it kinda but thats it,
@anttrap321 hey bro yeah i can help you out, either 1 of 2 things is going
on. 1 you might have a different pulley for either your alternator or your
p/s. i had a little trouble with the auto zone with the wrong part because
of that, i can give you the correct part number if that might be the case.
but the p/s is a 3 rib and the alternator is a 4
To find pretty good aftermarket parts I usually go on zilvia.net I just
bout some HKS coilovers for really cheap its all about timing and having
the money asap. But I'm building a 240 myself (a coupe though) I havn't
updated the videos but I did on the comments, but if you want some advice
just message me I see what I can do to help.
including the friction from the rubber itself thats your HP gain. so taking
off a big chunky fan is one less thing the motor has to drive. so just
estimating. it weights about maybe 15LBS tops? you could maybe get about
5HP-15HP but thats a guess look around on other 240sx to find out more i
only know so much lol
question about your belt (waterpump/power steering). I dunno if its my belt
or the pulley. it seems to be missing a rib. I have a belt with 2 ribs
(thats what my auto part store gave me when I ask for the belt for my240sx)
so im just wondering how many ribs are on your belt?
nice car man maybe u can upload a video when u put in ur altima fans. i put
some on my z32 and dey ended up drainin my battery so i had to put it a
higher amperage alrernator but idk if thats the case in 240's i have a 240
also n would like to put electric fans in it.
i see. i guess u learn something new everyday. so once i have a altima fan,
would it need some type of mod so it could fit, or is it as easy as just
take the stock one out nd put the new one in.? nd wat would i need from the
altima so that i could put it in to my 240sx
i havent doent the altima fan swap yet. but if i were getting mine from the
junk yard id get every screw, bolt, fitting, clip i could that had to do
with mounting, holding anything that has to do with the electric fan and
its assembly.
@rangerjavi cool. i just whent on zilva.net but couldnt find the
aftermarket stuff only t-shirts and otehr things on the forum. i got it
running and got a test/practice driving video up check it out
Thanks you have told me much that i need to know, now to look into this and
probably do it cuz it would be better for my engine itself, Thanks for the
help.
Hey man, my gas gauge on my truck reads incorrectly. It shows when the
needle gets to a half tank, then it's out of gas. Could that be a broken
sending unit?
Picked this 240sx up from my work friend who wore out the ball joints and a few other things and decided to take it of the road. That was almost 3 years ago i ...
RB20DET swap for sale. This set up is intended for quick spool, it's running a GT2871R turbo with a .48 turbine A/R housing, Yellow Jacket coilpacks, 550cc/min ...
Yo this shit didn't sell yet im betting, that is a stock intake and exhaust
manifold everything looks stock, its probably making 280 if ur lucky and
thats to the crank! U probably had hopes and then when u threw ur bullshit
bolt ons took the car drove it hard a few times and it started fucking up,
u probably couldn't fix it so u put it for sale I've seen it many times
with 240sx swappers
I've seen people make 300kw+ with stock manifold and intake, they both work just fine and work a lot better then most cheap shit people replace them with, btw my RB20 makes 270hp at the rear wheels on less boost and a smaller turbo, no doubt this could make 350hp+
Volvo 240 Wagon In Tank Pump Replacement
How to replace the in tank pump in your 245 Link to AEM's site for pump: ...
Thanks for sharing. I've got a 84 244 that I've started to have hesitation
and stall issues when the tank gets down under 1/4 and I believe it's the
pump in the tank that's starting to fail. Great reference material.
Nice work Mitch. This is on my to do list for our 240. A new pump is
waiting for me in the garage and I will come back to this during install.
Thanks!
+Mitch Weiler ive got a 89 240 dl sedan i want to get a set of koing 18 inch lace rims but i dont know the back spacing or numbers to get the right rims
this video is right on time so thanx for the walk through. i just ordered
the exact same kit for my DE, & this has helped me out in more ways than
one. i even scoped out the same place to mount it. lol
so theses on going issues continue the valve knock you hear is a misfire because my knock sensor went shit and retards my timing also low fuel pressure so ...
