I love all the excuses being made as to why a car that cost a 10th the price of all those "super" cars handed them there asses. I'll take a quick agile car any day over a car that can go super fast in a straight line, seriously, how many how often is somebody really to open up one of those other cars as opposed to having the muck more streetable Juke where pretty much any road or street is fun waiting to happen. All those high end exotics are is compensation for, well, I'm sure you know.

@xnixsin Real race cars are built from scratch, and sometimes they throw on the skin of a common car. Supercars are not meant to be race cars, they are meant to be expensive to help rich people try to look better, while being fast, and not be just some ordinary rice burner unibody. They are about castes and prestige, not being race cars. Any car can be made fast, but what doesn't impress me is a 4-banger boosted all to hell beating a V12. Crotch rockets beating cars is also retarded.

@bcapers12 This Nissan GTR time was set by a Toshio Suzuki, a 56 year old former race car driver in semi-wet conditions. Horst von Saurma the driver of the SLS, Ferrari and Lamborghini is known for being a skilled driver on the Nürburgring and has run it in many different vehicles putting a Porsche 911 GT2 RS time at 7:24.00 as his fastest car time to date. Look him up as his name shows up MANY times on that Nürburgring list. This is not some novice driver..

@insomniahedgehog Cost is subjective, and mostly about prestige when you get into this class of cars (the actual GT-R and the like.) It also does not have a V8. It's a one-off car that's purpose-built going against cars that have a long wheelbase, are heavy ON PURPOSE, and are NOT race cars. It's simply not that impressive. The price is bound to be that of all three of its opponents, combined. I don't get the Godzilla comment, whatsoever.

1. Juke has 486hp, which is comparable to the other cars. 2. Juke has shorter gear ratios, compared to the long 2-3-4th gears that the others have. 3. Juke is lighter, has a shorter wheelbase, can turn and burn better than the other cars. 4. Track is biased toward the juke, short and twisty. C'mon, let's compare apples to apples. test the juke with comparable cars like WRC cars. This is like comparing a redbull airrace planes to an F15

@xnixsin What's a "race car chassis"? I didn't realize that just because a car has race parts, that automatically means it is supposed to be a king at road racing and shouldn't a highway king. The common steel unibody piece of shit is unsafe to be going 200+ MPH. If you reinforce it with tubes, you get a heavy sled, and suspension tie points still aren't reinforced so they will flex and not be strong/safe.

@bogueji1 Dude, the Nissan GTR is only fast to 60 MPH. It's zero to 60 without launch control is about 3.9 seconds (source top gear). From a rolling start those cars would EAT the GTR alive. This track was designed to favor the performance of the Juke. Short straights is the only reason the Juke stood a chance. The same goes for the GTR. A track with normal length straights and it would get smoked. PERIOD.

@jcapers93 care to explain the Nürburgring laptime that the GTR achieved in semi wet conditions in 2011 then? This with multiple similar best times on other dates. Nissan GTR - 7:24.22 Ferrari 458 - 7:32.92 Mercedes SLS AMG - 7:40 Lamborghini LP560-4 - 7:40.76 The closest competition would be over 8 seconds behind each lap.

@Civic1eater Top Gear Review, couldn't link it here because youtube doesn't allow, but a quick google "top gear juke-r review" tells the details. And if I was in the Lambo and got beaten by the Nissan, props to the driver for being faster. I'm a car enthusiast of all make and origin and respect cars for what they are.

This kind of stuff does not impress me. Put all that kind of aftermarket money into a car that's already a supercar and then talk... Also most supercars are mainly meant to be highway kings, not track cars. The Juke's short wheelbase versus three cars of real wheelbases is not a good comparison, neither.

car is actually heavier than gtr by 60 kg shorter cut n shut wheelbase and taller. 0-60 is 3.7 but after 90 mph the aerodynamics hold the car back needless to say on a longer straight all of the cars it was racing here would kick its ass. this one cost 400,000 pounds

@cardigansrule are you retarded? you probably don';t know anything about cars. The GTR already demolishes these supercars on the track and with the TR engine in this lighter JUKE. There is NO competition. This is far from a publicity stunt.
