If I said "look at this" made it seem like I printed something out on my iPhone, you thought it was neat, then I immediately showed you what's really happening, then you thought THAT was a neat, would I be a liar? No. I would be someone showing you a really neat app. But would I now have a great opportunity to share God's truth with yet another complete stranger, whether or not they accept that truth being in God's hands? Yes. Would many people also now learn to use it as an opportunity to bring up the topic of God? Yes. If I instead made you think my iPhone can print out things and walked away allowing you to think that with the intent of deceiving you, would I be a liar? Yes. It's all about the *intention*. If a person is showing you something neat and being completely up front about it the moment after they show it, it's not "trickery and deception". And in this case, it's a segway to bring up the gospel by printing a gospel message and now you can share the gospel as soon as you show them the neat app you used. Even Jesus used segways to bring up the gospel "Give me a drink of water" he says to the woman at the well. He doesn't just walk up to her a complete stranger and start talking of the things of heaven. So I think you need to prayerfully re-consider labeling such an act as "trickery and deception" as if you know the intents and hearts of those using that neat app to share the Good News of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
