+Thomas Madison sorry but private independent land owners didn't make or agree to that debt. Those resources would be stolen. It would be no different than me growing a garden in my yard and having government seize my vegetables to send them as payment. War is a tool of government. Not citizens.

If he was to hand over certain blocks of natural resources to the Chinese he wouldn't be "giving it away for free."  We owe the Chinese trillions of dollars for these endless wars for empire. 662 military bases world wide, in 38 countries, that gets expensive. We are actively fighting in or helping in 74 conflicts around the world, and that doesn't count covert operations according to Congressional Research Services.  When China stops buying our debt there will be war.   China is buying oil from Russia without using the petro dollar this is a bad thing. we've spent trillions on controlling a huge chunk of the world's oil supply.Things are very shakey right now.  But truthfully I seriously doubt that things will change anytime soon.  The doom and gloom people have been "predicting" this collapse for the last 2 decades.  So take what speculators like Mike Maloney say with a grain of salt.  That's my 2 cents anyways.

+Unkn0wnGuy  I have an aunt that lives in Ottawa, as well. She's been living there for years. I should invest in real estate in a hick area of Canada and bug out there. I do not feel safe in my own USA, at all. Canada is much safer, as we are a smaller target. I do support the Second Amendment, but it's pointless if we are a big target and a big debtor for sure. Creditors should realize that we are not responsible for what our nasty government does to foreigners nor us. We have absolutely no control. GW Bush is a liar too. I do not like Obama nor Clinton, neither. I have no faith in politicians for sure.
