interesting to see the reverse bit, my computer is dying and I did look at
the computer shop which sells fruit computers but they don't do
deals.......Not even if I was to tell a story of being a long term PC
person making the change. Seems they are very confident of their market
share and thats.....dangerous I did play with importing AVI files into
final cut pro but it won't open a AVI, and that has me stuffed as all my
archives are AVI's
nice tutorial. Google earth is useful for drive-along videos. After the
zooming in and zooming out, one can explore google earth's touring feature.
I caution though it can be addictive. and sometimes the google earth tour
can come out much better than the video footage. check this one for some
experiment with google earth. watch?v=lGjc2sDxYoQ
thanks for checking my channel. I have a video purely with google zoom ins
and zoom outs.. target site is in Melbourne where a niece works.. I thought
you might be interested to check it out. watch?v=nHaRFty7UNQ
I went to Google to have a closer look. Looks more like a new stadium,
especially with looking at the other venues in that area. You have some of
the coolest modern architecture there.
That's weird. I don't have that option on my QuickTime player. Is it only
for the Mac maybe? (Anyway I've got Camtasia Studio 8 now for screen
recording so I don't really need it.)
I always love the satellite views. This puts them to good use. Antarctica
looks so close. Is that the new arts building that you did a walk-by
earlier? Thanks Geoff, Mike.
Thanks Geoff... I wasn't sure as to how you recorded it.. Seeing that I
dont have a Mac I'll see what else I can use... makes location video's so
much better.
.. yes a dying computer is a troublesome thing Leo - I have hard drives
that are on the way out, trying to copy what I can b4 the files are
completely gone ..

I can get 3DR to load GE, but it does not show "ready to capture". GE 7,
3DR 1.8, Win 8, DX 11. Need to use GE 7 as opposed to GE 6 for access to 3D
buildings (other than warehouse). I have also tried this on a VM running GE
6 3DR 1.8, XP, DX 9, with the same outcome. Anyone have any idea on this? +Paul
Fatkins
+mali It only works with Google Earth versions up to 6.2.2.6613 as those are all written in DX9. 3D Imagery was introduced with Google Earth 7.0 which was rewritten to run on DX9Ex hence 3Dripper won't work anymore. Same applies with any other 3D Dumper/ripper out there.
+Anthony Grieveson Have you had any luck with this? I also need the new 3d cities instead of the old modeled buildings you can find in the warehouse...
I've now got it to the point where it will now capture shaders and textures, but still no frames. Even after leaving it for several hours. Any ideas what might be causing this?
for example i search in 3dwarehouse for doha aspirehttps://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/search.html?q=doha+aspire&backendClass=entityand i found many models by many designer with different details
Yea but some building we can't download it depend on who design it and if its available to download or not.Try downlaod the google earth the latest version and search for the building u looking for it may be available to download the model if not try see whats the name of the building model u need and go to 3d warehouses and search for the same name good luck
+mazen ezou I see. Thanks for letting me know! Is it possible to download directly like that -- such that it can be opened in AutoCAD? That was exactly what I am looking for
I hv used 3dmax 2010 its work perfect, u can find it torrent . Btw the models is soooo poor not really perfect to use. After all I went back to google3dhouses and download the building I need one by one

This is great. What I'd love to do is create a file of way points and in
the file have the viewing angle of each way point. So I've made a GPS
recorder using Ada Fruit, Arduino and a SD card to record my flight. My
Quad copter will fly a route. Then I want to take those recorded points
and viewing angles and feed them back into google earth to compare. I need
to know the format to do this? Then I can have the recording have Lat Long
alt and viewing angle. Can anyone help me?
the only thing people want to know is how to save the tour files, etc. to
use in things like documents, power points, etc. And everyone now knows
that you want people to shell down huge amounts of money for it. No thanks
^_^
Is there a way to make Google Earth follow and record a path you made with
the 'Create Path' option? I wanna make a digital travel journey, and i
thought that would be cool.
If I export geotagged photos from Picasa to Google Earth, why I see only
the thumbnails of photos without the line of the trip under them ? How to
activate it ? Thanks
